Pokemon GO’s Season of Alola introduces Tapu Fini in Tier-5 Raids as the last Guardian Deities following Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu. Tapu Fini will be in Tier-5 Raid Battles until 25 May 2022 and in the game along with Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu until 1 June 2022.

Tapu Fini has been known as the Guardian Deity of Poni Island in the Alola Region. It is of the Water & Fairy-type and boasts excellent Defensive stats. As a Raid Attacker, Tapu Fini isn’t particularly good, yet it excels in Great League or Ultra League PvP Battles.

To beat Tapu Fini in Raid Battles, be sure to use Electric, Grass, or Poison-types for the 160% Super Effective bonus. Some of the best counters for you to consider are Zekrom, Therian Thundurus, Zarude, Electivire, Raikou, Zapdos, Mega Gengar, and Mega Beedrill.

With a lineup of Superior Pokemon, a team of 3 players is enough to defeat Tapu Fini. But, if you have a standard lineup of Pokemon, it may take a team of 5 Trainers or more. If you manage to defeat Tapu Fini, you will get a chance to catch it with a Max CP of 1632 (Level 20) or 2041 (Level 25) during the Rainy/Cloudy Weather Boost.

Tapu Fini has an interesting Moveset as a PvP Pokemon. Its Fast Moves are Water Gun and Hidden Power, whereas its Charge Moves are Ice Beam, Moonblast, Hydro Pump, and Surf.

These Movesets are quite powerful in the Meta and are really quick to charge. Therefore, so many Trainers are seeking after it for Great League and Ultra League PvP Battles. However, since its CP during Raid is more than 1500, how to adjust it for Great League PvP Battles?

The way to do it is by Trading. Ask your friend who has a Non-Weather boosted Tapu Fini for a trade. If it has a lower IV, then its CP would be less than 1500.

It’s a good idea to trade with friends who have a relatively low Level of Friendship (Good Friend or Great Friend). Because, if you trade with an Ultra or a Best Friend, it would be harder to get a lower IV. Good luck, Trainers!
