Eevee is a one-of-a-kind Pokemon. It has 8 evolutions with different types. There’s Flareon (Fire), Vaporeon (Water), Jolteon (Electric), Umbreon (Dark), Espeon (Psychic), Glaceon (Ice), Leafeon (Grass), and Sylveon (Fairy). The Fairy-type Sylveon is yet to be released in Pokemon GO.

 Aside from filling up your Pokedex, there’s also a requirement to get from level 41 to level 42 by getting all of the seven Eevee evolutions. Therefore, it’s important for you to know how to evolve Eevee in Pokemon GO.

First, you can rename your Eevee with certain nicknames, which can only be used once. Simply rename your to the following names, select “Evolve”, and you will get the evolution:

1. Pyro: Flareon
2. Rainer: Vaporeon
3. Sparky: Jolteon
4. Tamao: Umbreon
5. Sakura: Espeon
6. Linnea: Leafeon
7. Rea: Glaceon

REMEMBER! Once again, this trick can only be used once for each evolution.

So, how do you get the evolutions aside from using this trick? Unfortunately, for now, Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon, you can only use the “Evolve” button to get a random evolution for your Eevee. You will either get Flareon, Vaporeon, or Jolteon randomly.

In contrast, the four other evolutions have their own means. As for Umbreon and Espeon, you need to set your Eevee as your Buddy and walk for 10km and earn 2 candies.

After that, while still being your Buddy, evolve your Eevee during the day to get Espeon, and at night to get Umbreon.

Whereas for Leafeon and Glaceon, the requirements are easier. Yet you have to spend some money to get the Glacial or Mossy Lure, or you can just join other Trainers if they have a Lure applied at a Pokestop.

Once you’re within the range of the Glacial Lure, you’ll get Glaceon. If you want to get Leafeon, get within the range of the Mossy Lure.
