How to Play the Virtual World Deck

Similar to most of the powerful decks in the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel META, the Virtual World deck is quite complex yet it’s still easy enough to understand as lots of Virtual World Monster cards share similar effects – with some slight differences.

Most Monster cards of the Virtual World archetype allow you to summon Monsters from the deck to swarm the field. Along with that, they also allow you to sacrifice cards and send them to the graveyard to draw more cards, allowing you to pull off Synchro Summonings.

In this deck, Virtual World Beast - Jiujiu is an incredibly powerful Synchro Summon card that cannot be destroyed by battle or effects as long as you have two Virtual World Monster cards in the graveyard. Aside from that, once per turn, you can target a card in the field and send it to the graveyard. Therefore, you should focus on summoning Virtual World Beast - Jiujiu to dominate the game.

Virtual World Kyubi - Shenshen is also a quite crucial card as it’s very easy to summon. Although when it’s destroyed to the graveyard, you can still summon Virtual World Kyubi - Shenshen to the field.

Understand the 3 Virtual World Gate Cards

The Virtual World deck features three kinds of Virtual World Gate cards that you need to understand to maximize the potential of this deck.

Virtual World Gate - Qinglong is a Continuous Spell Card that allows you to banish Virtual World cards from the graveyard to target and negate a face-up monster’s effects even if Qinglong leaves the field. Banishing this card from the graveyard allows you to add any Virtual World Monster card from the deck to your hand after sending a card from your hand to the graveyard.

Virtual World Gate - Chuche allows you to destroy a face-up card while shuffling 2 of your banished cards into the deck. Banishing this card from the graveyard allows you to target and increase and reduce the Level/Rank of a Virtual World monster, which can help make Synchro Fusion easier.

Virtual World Gate - Xuanwu allows you to target a Monster and change its battle position during the battle phase. You can also banish this card from the graveyard and summon a Virtual World Monster card from the graveyard to the field but also remove the effect of said card. Xuanwu is a highly useful card in certain situations. However, it also means that this card is highly situational.

Chances are, you will likely play Gate - Qinglong, and Gate - Chuche more often to control the game.

True King of All Calamities!

This deck is also equipped with True King of All Calamities, which boasts a powerful effect – it allows you to negate the effects of all monster cards and make the opponent unable to attack in the battle phase by detaching one card material from True King of All Calamities.

Furthermore, it’s a quick effect, which means you can activate it during your opponent’s turn.

The Virtual World deck allows you to easily summon True King of All Calamities as it can summon 9-Star Synchro Fusion cards with ease.
