1. Use the Right Character

Picking the suitable character greatly determines the potential of the Charge Buster. I personally prefer Caroline or Jota for this weapon. Why? Because Caroline has the ability to move faster when wielding a shotgun, making her a suitable character to use the Charge Buster. Her movement speed will grant you extra mobility while charging up the Charge Buster.

Aside from her, Jota is another recommended character for this weapon. Unlike Caroline, whose special ability make her works best with shotguns, Jota relies on Lifesteal. And, his Lifesteal scales with the Damage he generates. The greater the Damage, the more Lifesteal Jota receives.

2. Close Range Combat

Granted, the Charge Buster allows its user to shoot from a distance by charging it up. But, is it effective? Of course not, because shotgun shells spread at a greater range the farther it’s shot from the target. So, the best way to do the most damage with it is by using it at a close range.

If you’re an expert shooter, this weapon actually allows you to deal with two opponents simultaneously at close range! However, it can be quite tricky. So, be sure to practice with this weapon before you try to go up against multiple opponents at once.

3. It Doesn’t Need to Always be Fully Charged

Firing this weapon after fully charging it does generate more damage. But what if you’re in fast-paced combat in which you’re required to be more aggressive? Well, this is why don’t always have to fully charge it before firing.

Firing it at half-charged is enough to do significant damage. If the enemy isn’t at full HP, you can take them down with just a single shot.

4. Be Sure to Have a Secondary Weapon

A Secondary Weapon is the side weapon that you have available when it’s not ideal to use the Charge Buster. You can pick a sub-machine gun (SMG) or assault rifle (AR) as your secondary weapon. Be sure to practice switching between weapons so you’ll get used to the timing and mechanics.

5. Wear a Helmet and a Vest Before Combat

Since the Charge Buster requires to be charged up prior to firing, your opponents may have a greater chance to fire first. Due to this, you need to equip yourself with a helmet and a vest. This is crucial to withstand the opponents’ attacks. On top of that, be sure to always have some consumable items that you can use in dire situations.
