The Mythical Pokemon, Deoxys Defense forme is now making an appearance in Tier 5 Raid Battles, after previously only made available in Exclusive Raid Battles. Deoxys Defense is replacing Regigigas and will be available in Raids from July 2-16 at 10 AM. After that, Deoxys Defense will be replaced by Mewtwo.

As the name implies, Deoxys Defense has high defensive stats. Therefore, it won’t be easy for you to defeat this legendary Pokemon. Deoxys is of the Psychic-type, which means that it’s weak against Bug, Dark, and Ghost-types.

The best counters you want to have in your lineup against Deoxys are Ghost-types such as Giratina Origin Forme, Chandelure, Gengar; Dark-types like Darkrai, Weavile, Yveltal; and Bug-types like Scizor, Genesect.

You can also use other Pokemon like Mewtwo. However, don’t forget to use the best moves to counter Deoxys like Shadow Ball (Ghost-type). Deoxys Defense can be defeated by a team of 3 Trainers with powerful lineups of Pokemon. But, try to fight it in a group of 7 Trainers to increase your chance of winning the Raid.

If you manage to defeat Deoxys Defense, you’ll have the opportunity of catching it with a CP of 1288-1299 (Level 20). During the weather boost (Windy) it will be at Level 25 with a CP of 1535-1624.

This Pokemon is a must-have for any Trainer. Deoxys Defense forme is one of the best Pokemon for you to climb up the PvP Great League Ranks in Pokemon GO. Aside from its high defensive stats (which make it a difficult Pokemon to take down), it also has numerous useful moves.

Although Deoxys Defense forme is of the Psychic-type, it has a solid Fast Move, Counter (Fighting-type). So, be sure to catch this Pokemon and its Candy, so that you can power up your Deoxys Defense when climbing the Ranks.
