This year Dunia Games and Telkomsel organized a major tournament, IGC 2020, online because of the COVID-19 outbreak. There are four games being playing in the tournament, AOV, CODM, Free Fire, and the PC game that starts to rose to fame again, League of Legends.

As a legendary game, there are many unforgettable memories from League of Legends, especially for those who played a major part like shoutcaster Adji Sven.

In an interview with the writer, Adji stated that he is happy to cast at LoL again, which he thinks is the best game.

“Happy and glad with the opportunity to cast for LoL after the longest time.. Really exciting! Thanks to DG for trusting me with the opportunity to cast at the best game hahaha.”

After the schedules last week, Adji said that the matches are really exciting and that he kept on imagining in an offline League of Legends event makes its return in Indonesia.

When asked about the development of the Indonesian League of Legends players, Adji admits that for the competitive area, there’s not much improvement for the Indonesian teams, since they still lose to other regions.

But macro-wise, Adji claimed that there’s a major improvement compared to the past.

“We are still far behind in the competitive scene because the strongest Indonesian team still fails to continue to a bigger event, Worlds. But for there’s a major improvement and you can see it from their Champion pick that varies now!”

Adji thinks that there are more League of Legends players in Indonesia. It’s because the veteran players are asking their friends to play the game. There’s also the hype from Wild Rift that makes mobile gamers wants to have a taste of League of Legends PC first.

“The community looks more crowded and lively now because old players are asking their friends to play the game, on the other side, there’s the hype from LoL Wild Rift that forces mobile gamers to play LoL PC too.”

Lastly, Adji hoped that community events will start to resurface again, followed by the growing number of viewers. He doesn’t expect too much from Wild Rift -- only to hope that veteran LoL players to keep on developing.

“I hoped that the community will grow close, community events start to resurface again, and the number of viewers slowly grows, then for Wild Rift, I don’t expect something grand, only for the game to be a platform for veteran players to keep up with the game and for new players to understand that LoL is different compared to other MOBA game. Competing with AOV and ML may be too big of a challenge since Wild Rift is still new in Indonesia. There’s a process to take the throne that AOV and ML have.”
