Castlevania: Nocturne Reveals Main Trailer for Its Animated Spinoff Series on Netflix
Netflix has released the main trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne, the animated spinoff series from Castlevania produced by Frederator Studios.

Netflix has released the main trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne, the animated spinoff series from Castlevania produced by Frederator Studios. The series will have its global premiere on September 28th 2023. However, before that there will be a worldwide premiere on September 27th 2023 at 12:00 noon EDT which can be watched via Twitch and Tudum.
Castlevania: Nocturne will focus on the adventures of Richter Belmont, the offspring of Sypha and Trevor Belmont, who were the main characters in the original series. Maria Renard will also be one of the main characters. The story will be set in France during the French Revolution of 1792. Netflix promises that the series will be a never-before-seen origin story for Richter's character.
Richter and Maria are the main characters in the game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and appear in other games in the Castlevania series, including Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Kevin Kolde will be the showrunner of Castlevania: Nocturne, while Clive Bradley is credited as the creator and writer. The series is produced by Project 51 Productions with production services by Powerhouse Animation.
Previously in April 2021, entertainment news site Deadline reported that Netflix was considering a new series that would be set in the same universe with new characters. Executive producer of the original series, Kevin Kolde, director Sam Deats, and assistant director Adam Deats revealed in June 2021 that a spinoff series was in development.
Netflix premiered the fourth season of the original series in May 2021 with a total of 10 episodes.
The first season with four episodes premiered on Netflix in July 2017. The second season with eight episodes premiered in October 2018. The third season with ten episodes premiered in March 2020.
Sam Deats is directing the series, Warren Ellis is the writer and executive producer, while other executive producers include Fred Seibert, Kevin Kolde, and Adi Shankar.

The Japanese dub version involves Ryotaro Okiayu, Shinichiro Miki, Naoya Uchida, and Ayaka Shimoyamada.
