Wild Rift has a range of Champions that you can use even during its closed beta phase. Of the many Champions available in Wild Rift, there are some names that you don’t even have to buy! These Champions can be obtained for free, even if you haven’t reached a higher level. So, who are these Champions? Here’s the list!

1. Garen

Garen is the first Champion in Wild Rift that you should not buy. You can get this Fighter even when you’re still Level 1, after the tutorials, to be more exact. Speaking of his abilities, Garen is exceptional in terms of defense and has insane burst damage with his Ultimate, Demacian Justice. He’s also beginner-friendly due to his simple playstyle.

Speaking of his background story, Garen is a Demacian soldier who dedicates his life to the kingdom and to maintain justice. Well equipped in a magic-resistant armor with a broadsword, Garen dedicates his life to protect the kingdom and other fellow soldiers.

2. Master Yi

Another Champion that you should never buy in Wild Rift is Master Yi. Just like Garen, this Champion is obtainable through either the tutorials or when you reach a certain level (below level 10). While Master Yi is one of the Champions that you can get for free, his intensity on the battlefield is nothing to be overlooked.

He’s one of the most terrifying scaling Champions due to his Attack Speed combined with his Alpha Strike, a Skill that allows him to vanish while dishing out rapid attacks on his targets using his katana.

3. Annie

You should also never buy the pyromaniac little girl. Annie is obtainable when you reach a certain level, just like other Champions on this list. In terms of her abilities, Annie is not as terrifying as Master Yi, but she can Stun her enemies using the skill stacks she gains. Furthermore, she has a giant teddy bear (using her Ultimate) that can be used as a shield against enemy Champions.

4. Janna

The next Champion in Wild Rift that you should not buy is Janna. The wind-controlling Mage/Support Champion is obtainable once you have reached level 10. For her Skill mechanics, Janna is a bit tricky, compared to the other Support Champions. You have to be smart to cast your storms to get your targets knocked up. Aside from that, Janna doesn’t have any escape tool, often making her an easy target for the enemy Assassin.

5. Lux

Aside from Janna, there’s also Lux, another Mage/Support. However, Lux is a different case than Janna as she can also play as a Mid-laner due to her burst damage from the combo of Light Binding (1), Lucent Singularity (2), and Final Spark (Ultimate).

Lux, whose real name is Luxanna Crownguard, is well-known as the young Light Mage hailing from Demacia, a realm where magical abilities are viewed with fear and suspicion.

6. Nasus

Nasus is another Champion in Wild Rift that you should not buy. This Champion scales amazingly, just like Master Yi, but with higher durability stats. The reason for his high durability is that he’s a Tank Champion that relies on getting stacks from minions or Champions that he killed with his Skill.

Most players will refrain from playing Nasus as he requires patience in getting his stacks. If a Nasus main isn’t able to gain his stacks, his Damage output and durability won’t be that intimidating -- it may even be easy for enemies to shut him off.

7. Ahri

Next, we have Ahri, who is known as the charming fox with deadly agility once she has reached level 6. Ahri’s main strength lies in her burst damage that starts with a CC, Charm, which lures her targets to move towards her. You can get Ahri from the tutorials.

8. Jinx

In terms of Marksman Champions, we have Jinx, who has an insanely high Attack Speed with a bazooka as her main firepower. Jinx’s bazooka is a perfect Finisher against opponents with low HP who try to escape. Jinx is also obtainable once you’ve completed the tutorial or when you’ve reached a certain level (below level 10). Even though you can get her for free, Jinx can be extremely lethal if used in the right hands.

9. Vi

Next, we have a Fighter who is often used as a Jungler, Vi. The Lady with the gigantic gauntlets is another Champion in Wild Rift that you should never buy. Vi is available as a reward from leveling up. So, you don’t need to spend any Blue Motes nor Wild Cores to get her.

10. Blitzcrank

The grabber, Blitzcrank, is quite popular among Wild Rift players. He’s one of the most sought-after Champions for many beginners due to his simple mechanics. On top of that, Blitzcrank also possesses high durability from his Passive, Mana Barrier.

11. Ashe

Lastly, we have Ashe, an amazing Marksman Champion for beginners who you should never buy. Despite her meek-looks, she has an exceptional Passive. Each time Ashe shoots her arrow, the target will be slowed down. This effect will make Champions who have no escape tools feel overwhelmed. Not to mention, she has an Ultimate which allows her to stun her target for a long duration called Enchanted Crystal Arrow.

So, those were the 11 Champions in Wild Rift that you should never buy. Stick around for more gaming info, and make sure to follow Dunia Games on Facebook and Instagram to keep you updated on the latest exciting news and articles.
