Coach AFM or Ahmad Fadly Masturoh officially resigned from his position as coach of Evos Divine after the Free Fire’s Esports World Cup (EWC). Despite successfully bringing the team to runner-up, Coach AFM decided to part ways with Evos Divine and move to a new team.

Yep, at FFWS SEA 2024 Fall this time, AFM made his debut as coach of ONIC Olympus. This is the second team for AFM after 3 years with Evos Divine.

Coach AFM Reveals the Differences Between Coaching Evos and ONIC

Coaching Evos Divine since 2021 and finally moving to ONIC Olympus is certainly not easy for both of them to adapt and unite their chemistry with each other, both from AFM and the ONIC Olympus players.

In an interview session with the media after week 4, Coach AFM revealed the adaptation process he did at ONIC Olympus. He admitted that the adaptation process between himself and the ONIC Olympus players had not gone smoothly enough.

"Has the adaptation (himself with the ONIC players) gone smoothly or not, of course not. Not that optimal, because adaptation is about time and how smooth the communication is," said AFM.

Therefore, said AFM, his presence at ONIC, which has only been 1 and a half months, has not been realized well enough. What he can do now is provide input to the players slowly.

In addition, the training method is also one of the differences between Evos and ONIC. According to him, at ONIC this time he has to adapt more to the composition of ONIC players that have been formed previously.

"Because when I entered ONIC, it was on the 1st if I'm not mistaken, the match was on the 16th. So there were only 2 weeks for training and the rest have been competing until now. Even though week 4 was really bad, Monday was already a holiday, so there were only 3 days left, Friday was already playing again. So the adaptation changes were only 3 days for how to solve the existing problems so that Friday would be good again," explained Coach AFM.
