In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic that forces us to practice physical distancing, taking a sip of coffee at a cafe while listening to calming music is impossible. But you can do this in an Indonesian game titled Coffee Talk. This is a game developed by Toge Production, a game developer and publisher from Indonesia.

Since its release, Coffe Talk has been a hot topic among gamers all over the world. Even the game by Toge becomes one of the top games on Steam. In less than one month (since its release on 30 January 2020) the game has reaped a total profit of  Rp7,6 billion or US$550 thousand.

It’s a big accomplishment for a game developed by an Indonesian developer. Recently, Coffee Talk is also listed as one of the best games of 2020 by The Guardian. The British media considered Coffe Talk as one of the best games for this year, juxtaposed with several other games such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Doom Eternal, Street of Rage 4, dan Final Fantasy VII Remake. 

This was stated by Kris Antoni, the founder and CEO of Toge Production, via his Facebook account.

This is a great achievement for Coffe Talk to be included in that list. Especially since not many games made by Indonesians have achieved that.

At the moment, Toge Productions is focusing on its new project, When The Past Was Around. The game is developed with the cooperation of Mojiken Studio. The plan to showcase the game alongside Coffe Talk and Rising Hell in PAX East 2020.
