One of the popular on-going tournaments, MPL Invitational introduced a lot of new meta (Most Effective Tactics Available). The new meta changes the way pro teams approached their game, including the public ranked matches. What is the meta introduced in MPL Invitational? Take a look at the list below.

1. Combination of Ling and Angela

The combination of Ling and Angela is now a new meta in MPL Invitational. Still, the meta is enough to beat any opponents. The team that popularized the meta is EVOS Esports in MPL ID Season 5 when facing RRQ Hoshi.

Ling that has high burst damage with the sustainability of Angela makes the meta powerful, especially when the opposing team lacks a hard cc like Kaja.

If you are interested in using this meta, make sure you are playing with your friends for better coordination.

2. Kaja Side Laner

Kaja’s role is to open the map and follows the carry around. But in the current meta where most teams used two support heroes, they tend to put Kaja as a sidelaner.

Although sometimes he fills the support role, Kaja is fast enough to clear waves, and it allows him to stay in the lane and way for hello to come. When the carry rotates, you only need to initiate with Kaja by flashing forward and pulling the enemy toward you -- and give the kill to your carry.

3. Popol Kupa Support 

The third meta is a hot meta that a lot of people are using, the Popol Kupa meta. If you are playing solo ranked, a lot of people will say you are trolling, but Popol Kupa is a useful support hero.

Popol Kupa’s trap is useful as a vision, similar to Selena’s Abyssal Trap. Popol Kupa also has a crowd control effect, not to mention Kupa can block a tank or marksman from running away.

He may be a marksman, but when played as a support, you will need to get tanking items for better sustainability.

4. Mage-Support Luo Yi

Last but not least is Luo Yi that’s quite dangerous during MPL Invitational. The mage is not supposed to be a support, but she is powerful when played as a support to help the carry.

Not to mention her teleportation skill is really annoying -- allowing your team to play around and surprise your opponents. This will also help you take the Lord after obtaining the Buff.
