When the Dead Space remake launched early in 2023, the game managed to exceed gamers' expectations. The reason being this game is easily one of the best video game remakes. Not only has it managed to maintain the authenticity of the original version, but also added new content that flows smoothly in this space horror game.

One of the interesting features in the Dead Space remake is the Easter eggs that can unlock upgrade items or additional elements in the game's storyline. Along the USG Ishimura ship, there is a red circle with a symbol in it. If the player follows the instructions from the symbol, they will open Easter eggs in the form of an audio log of the Sea Shanty song.

How to find Sea Shanty audio logs in Dead Space Remake

To find the seashanty Easter egg, players will have to wait until they reach Chapter 4: Obliteration Imminent. This will give players access to the Ishimura Bridge section, where there are two lifts in the center of the Main Atrium.

After defeating Brute, one of the bigger monsters in the game, players can enter the elevator and proceed to Floor 1. On this floor there is a break room. Instead of providing snacks and comfortable chairs, there is a bloodstained altar dedicated to the Marker, an artifact that causes horror on the ship.

All that matters for this Easter egg is the bloody circle on the ground in front of the monitor showing the Marker. There are two symbols visible in the circle: feet and hands. The feet represent the stomps Issac can take, and the hands are for physical attacks.

By moving clockwise starting from the top of the circle and doing a combination of stomping and physical attacks, then you will open a secret item. You'll know the combination has worked, because there will be a quick glitch that appears on the monitor and a spooky sound effect.

For the Sea Shanty audio log, players must do the following while in the circle:

Melee - stomp - melee - melee - stomp - melee -stomp - melee - melee - melee - melee - stomp

The audio log will appear unexpectedly. Hear the Ishimura crew sing their sinister sailor chant.

The presence of this remake version is of course to present a much more immersive and tense playing experience by utilizing the latest Frostbite engine technology.
