In the March issue of Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday S magazine, the final chapter of Yutaka Abe and Jiro Maruden's manga adaptation of Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween (Meitantei Conan: Halloween no Hanayome), the 25th anime movie in the Detective Conan franchise was published.

Yutaka Abe and Jiro Maruden will launch the manga adaptation of Detective Conan: Magician of the Silver Sky, the eighth movie in the franchise, in the next issue of the magazine on February 24th 2024.

In this year's ninth issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine published by Shogakukan, it was revealed on Thursday, January 30th 2024 that the franchise will revive a manga that has not been serialized for seven years in the 20th issue of the magazine on April 10th 2024.

The hint most likely refers to Gosho Aoyama's Magic Kaito manga, which last had a chapter and a fifth compilation book volume in 2017. Aoyama has been publishing chapters of the Magic Kaito manga irregularly since 1988.

The manga's main character, Kaito Kid, often interacts with Detective Conan stories, and is a central character in the recent Detective Conan: Hyakuman Doru no Michishirube movie. Abe and Maruden launched the manga Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween in Shōnen Sunday S magazine in June 2023.

Before Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween, Abe and Maruden drew manga adaptations of other movies in the franchise. Previously, Abe and Maruden drew manga adaptations of the Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno (Meitantei Conan: Goka no Himawari). The manga ended in May 2023.

Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween (Meitantei Conan: Halloween no Hanayome), the 25th anime movie in the franchise, was released in Japan in April 2022.

Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine (Iron Submarine), the 26th movie, was released in Japan in April 2023. Detective Conan: Hyakuman Doru no Michishirube (The Million-Dollar Five Guiding Stars), the 27th movie, will be released on April 12th 2024.
