1. No Mana or Energy System One of the key differences in Yu-Gi-Oh! is the absence of a mana or energy system used to summon or play cards. In other TCGs like Magic: The Gathering, players need mana to summon monsters or activate cards. In contrast, in Yu-Gi-Oh!, players simply use the cards in their hands without needing to manage additional resources.
2. Limited Normal Summon In Yu-Gi-Oh!, there is a restriction on performing a normal summon of monsters. Each player is only allowed to normal summon one monster per turn. In other TCGs like Magic, players can summon as many monsters as they want in one turn as long as they have enough mana or energy.
3. Unlimited Special Summon Yu-Gi-Oh! offers more freedom when it comes to special summoning. Players can perform as many special summons as they want during their turn, with no limits.
4. Spell Card Usage In Yu-Gi-Oh!, spell cards can also be used more freely. The only restriction is the "once per turn" effect, which can only be activated once per turn. In other TCGs, the use of spell or magic cards is often dependent on the amount of energy available.
With these unique rules, Yu-Gi-Oh! offers a different and more dynamic experience for its players!
