The Super Saiyan 4 form is not canonical in the Dragon Ball story. But this form left a deep impression in Dragon Ball GT. Thanks to Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Super Saiyan 4 will return along with Xeno Goku and Vegeta. What makes things more intriguing is Dragon Ball’s plan to bring out Trunks’ in his Super Saiyan 4 form.

In an interview that is recently shared in a special guide book to celebrate the 9th birthday of the arcade game, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, it was revealed that trunks almost got his Super Saiyan 4 form. But, the Dragon Ball team failed to make a decision on his hairstyle.

“We decide that ‘for sure’ it is Trunks. Originally the plan was to bring out his SS4 form, but there are various complications such as his color and other things,” says the Dragon Ball team in the interview.

If it’s possible fo Trunks to get his SS4 form, then Gohan should receive his SS4 form. Let’s just wait for Trunks’ SS4 form!
