Acer Predator has officially opened the APAC Predator League 2026: Indonesia Series, a competition to find the best DOTA 2 and Valorant teams to represent Indonesia in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 Grand Final, which will take place in New Delhi, India, on January 10-11, 2026, with a total prize pool of USD 400,000.

The APAC Predator League 2026 is the seventh event of its kind this year. This event serves as an important stage for Indonesia's esports talents to showcase their skills, compete, and have the opportunity to represent Indonesia on the international stage.

Will Dreamocel Bring a Rookie to the Predator League Dota 2?

Similar to last year, for the Dota 2 competition, Predator will once again feature a battle between Team Helios and Team Nitro. The difference is that this time, Predator has brought in Youk (Team Helios) and Dreamocel (Team Nitro) as legendary Indonesian Dota 2 players who will compete.

Both teams will battle it out with their respective rosters. Who will strengthen each team is an intriguing question—will they bring in legendary Dota 2 names like Whitemon, FBZ, Jocham, and Xepher, or will they introduce new Indonesian Dota 2 rookies?

“We did leave (the roster selection) up to the community, but in the end there was a discussion, and we were afraid that we might have regulations that we also had to inform Youk and Dreamocel about, such as that each team must have 3 Indonesian players, 2 can be from outside Indonesia, but we still prioritize Indonesian gamers,” explained Renaldy Felani, Marcomm Manager, Acer Indonesia, Tuesday (9/30).

Given the declining competitive scene for Dota 2 in Indonesia, the Predator League is expected to serve as a platform for the regeneration of Indonesian Dota 2 players. Renald also hopes that one of the teams will eventually introduce new Dota 2 talent.

“If it's up to us (there must be new names), there aren't any. But it's a good idea. Maybe I'll talk to Youk and Dreamocel, at least there will be some new names,” he added.

Separately, Dreamocel admitted that finding a rookie in the Indonesian Dota 2 scene is quite difficult, given the complexity of the game itself. However, he plans to introduce new names to his team in the future.

“For the Dota 2 scene, there should always be new entries. Even in my team, there will be new players who haven’t been seen before. (If they’re leaked) I don’t think anyone would know, because people rarely hear these names, but they’re pretty skilled, and the important thing is they’re willing to learn,” Dreamocel told Dunia Games.

Registration for the Indonesia Series DOTA 2 and Valorant games is open from September 30 to October 26, 2025. Acer Indonesia is opening registration for free and inviting gamers across the country to register and compete for the chance to represent Indonesia in the 2026 APAC Predator League Grand Final.
