In One Piece, there’s a place called “Pirate Paradise”, Hachinosu Island, which is currently occupied by Kurohige. It is also the origin place of the Davy Back Fight and where the legendary pirate group, Rocks Pirates, was formed.
Currently, Hachinosu still serves as a spot where pirates mingle. As the name implies, Hachinosu, or Beehive, the pirates are like bees in their hive on that island. This place was actually inspired by Port Royal in Jamaica.
Another location in One Piece that was inspired by a place in real life is New Onigashima, the “Pirate Paradise” designed and planned by Kaido. The place is planned to make Wano Country a lawless place, a pirate kingdom ruled by Yamato, Kaido’s daughter.
New Onigashima will be the headquarter for the Kaido-Big Mom alliance to fulfill their shared ambitions, discovering the One Piece and the Ancient Weapons to destroy the World Government.
