Used to be only the audience, now they are fighting over tickets to Hamburg

June 13-17, 2025 will be the most exciting week for the Dota 2 community in two parts of the world - Southeast Asia (SEA) and Western Europe (WE). No longer just spectators, teams from these two regions will fight each other for the golden ticket to the most magnificent tournament in the world of Dota 2: The International 2025 (TI14) in Hamburg, Germany.
Two Regions, Two Hopes
From Western Europe, big names like OG, Team Secret, and Nigma Galaxy are back. But now they are not entering through direct invites, but must fight through the Closed Qualifier with newcomers like AVULUS and 1W Team. A total of 10 teams will fight for 2 spots to TI14.
Meanwhile, from Southeast Asia, Boom Esports, Flipster Talon, Castawake, and Tech Free Gaming (who qualified from the Open Qualifier) are ready to challenge the old dominance. Interestingly, names like Trailer Park Boys and Ivory bring new colors that cannot be underestimated.
Tickets to Hamburg
TI14 will be held on September 11-14, 2025, but the Road to The International phase starts on September 47, 2025. This means that two teams from each region (SEA & WE) who qualify from the closed qualifier will soon prepare to step into the main round, facing world giants such as Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, or maybe PSG.LGD again?
Nostalgia and Proof
This TI14 is not just a tournament, but a living nostalgia - where old teams try to prove themselves again, and new names want to make history. It is possible that we will see foreign names become new Dota 2 legends this year.
If you were an OG fan during the Notail and Ceb era, or a BOOM Esports fan from the beginning - it's time to see who's still got the fire in them, and who's had to say goodbye early.
