Rumors came from the gaming industry giant, EA. EA is reportedly working on a Marvel superhero game, Black Panther. The Black Panther video game is believed to be an open-world single-player.

According to Giant Bomb (per VGC), the Black Panther game is being worked on by a new EA studio led by the former Monolith Productions boss, Kevin Stephens. The Black Panther game is codenamed “Project Rainier”, and is currently in early development. Interestingly, the story in the Black Panther video game will begin with the death of the superhero. The player will be the successor of Black Panther.

Currently, Black Panther has a limited appearance in video games. One of the Marvel superhero games that feature Black Panther is Marvel’s Avengers. In this game, Black Panther is available as one of the playable characters.
