Netflix has shared an update for the Hollywood live-action series adapted from Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga. The update is a direct message from the original creator, Oda, who is also the executive producer of Netflix's One Piece live-action.
Oda stated that the Netflix live-action series is still slated to debut in 2023, but will not launch until he is "satisfied". He added that "every entity involved is working in sync." He also clarified that the series will have eight episodes, as opposed to information about ten as previously reported.
The Netflix's One Piece live-action cast includes:

Netflix will exclusively stream One Piece live-action. Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between producer Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf) and ITV Studios, is producing the Netflix series. Matt Owens (Luke Cage, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) is writing the series' scripts. Steven Maeda and Becky Clements serve as executive producers.
Adelstein stated in a video message aired at the Jump Festa event in 2017 that the One Piece live-action would begin with the East Blue arc and would "expand from there".
Adelstein also stated that the series promised to create a "One Piece true to life" atmosphere after he discussed the project with Oda privately.
