Superhero is always related to a person who defends the good using their abilities, and even sacrifice their lives willingly. Many superheroes choose that path because of their ideology which upholds justice so much. However, no matter how much a person loved justice, someone will fall, be tempted, and change side. The following is the list of some superheroes who changed side to become a supervillain.

4. Scarlett Witch

Magneto’s daughter whose real name is Wanda Maximoff was originally in a supervillain group. But in the end, Wanda changed side and joined the Avengers. However, Wanda’s career as a superhero did not last long. She then returned to be a very dangerous supervillain, and she even almost destroyed the Avengers alone by herself.

3. Jason Todd

Jason Todd was originally Robin, Batman’s partner, the second generation. But unfortunately, in Batman-The Killing Joke story, Joker killed him in an explosion. But then reappeared in a series titled Under the Hood as Red Hood. He became a person who still fight for justice but in his own way.

Now, he is no longer forgive his enemies and he kills them. He even took Robin hostage. In the end, he fought Batman, which is of course the battle was won by the bat-robed hero.

2. Jean Grey

Jean Grey is the main members of the X-Men army and one of its first members. She has telekinesis and telepathy just like the leader of X-Men, Professor X. However, inside Jean Grey’s body, one of the strongest powers in the Marvel Universe is stored inside her, namely the Phoenix. 

One time, that power took over Jean Grey’s body and made her went into rage and eventually turned her into Dark Phoenix. She even almost destroyed the entire city with her power, but in the end, Jean Grey’s real personality was able to take over her body and kill herself to prevent things from getting worse.

1. Cyclops

Cyclops is actually a good X-Men member whose real name is Scott Summers. He is a person that can be relied on, responsible and level-headed. Originally, he is in love with Jean Grey, one of the X-Men members; however after Jean’s death, he married a woman named Madelyne Pryor and had a son named Nate.

Years later, in his attempt to save Nate’s life, he merged with Apocalypse, the oldest mutant in the world that changed his personality. Scott even formed an army called X-Force that kills all of his enemies. At one time, Cyclops was possessed by Phoenix and killed Professor Xavier. After the incident, he was sent to a jail but he managed to run away and became a rebel.
