Enmu is a character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train, an anime film based on a manga by Koyoharu Gotoge. This devil is one of the antagonists who appeared long before Kimetsu no Yaiba season 3  that many people have been waiting for, but he is very iconic.

1. Male Demon Voiced by Daisuke Hirakawa

Although he looks a bit like a woman, it turns out that this demon named Enmu is a man. He first appeared in the manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotoge in the 51st chapter. His debut in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime is in the 26th episode.

This character has a Japanese voice actor, Daisuke Hirakawa, a voice actor or dubber who is quite experienced in the Japanese animation or anime industry.

2. A Demon with the Lower Rank One

Enmu, the kanji of his name means a devil's dream which is a representation of the power of his demon blood. He is a member of the Twelve Demon Moons and holds the position of the Lower Rank One in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

3. Unlike other Lower Rank Demons, He Wears Western-style Clothes

Enmu looked like a pale young man dressed neatly in a white button-up shirt and a long black coat. He also wears gray striped pants and plain gray shoes, showing a western type of attire when compared to the rest of the Lower Rank demons who wear traditional Japanese attire.

4. He Feels Happy When He Thinking About Harming Others

He has long black hair that reaches to his chin with the ends of his hair being orange. He also has two longer strands of hair that are colored green. His eyes are light blue with the kanji for Lower Rank One written in his irises. His right eye shows a short horizontal line instead of a pupil similar to that of a frog's.

Under his eyes he had three square-shaped markings, each separated by a small dot. The squares, starting with the ones near his eyes, were green which faded to orange and then to yellow. He usually had a blank expression but, when he thought of something that could cause someone pain, he became overjoyed.

5. He Intercepts Tanjiro and His Friends on the Mugen Train

Enmu first appears in the Dimensional Infinity Fortress after being summoned by Nakime to a meeting about the death of the Lowen Rank Five demon, Rui. He remained a passive bystander as the other Lower Rank demons were killed one by one until he was the only one left. He was the only Lower Rank demon who survived the encounter because Muzan Kibutsuji liked his sadistic behavior.

After receiving a lot of blood from Muzan Kibutsuji, Enmu plans to kill Tanjiro in order to receive more blood. He assimilated his body with the train to eat the 200 passengers sleeping to absorb a lot of power.

6. He was Killed by Tanjiro Kamado

Enmu's evil plans are blocked by Tanjiro Kamado who wakes up from the dream that trapped him. After the other Demon Slayers awaken, he fights Tanjiro Kamado and Inosuke Hashibira by trying to trap them into his dreams while attacking the passengers at the same time, but he was stopped by Kyojuro Rengoku, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Nezuko.

He was later killed by Tanjiro Kamado who cut off his 'neck' which had turned into a train carriage. Enmu continued to curse the Demon Slayers as his body slowly disintegrated. He realized that with the extra blood he got from Muzan Kibutsuji alone, he still wasn't even as strong as the Upper Rank demon.

7. His is very Sadistic and can Manipulate Dreams

Enmu exhibits a very sadistic personality, as seen from how happy he is when Muzan Kibutsuji kills the Lower Rank demons and enjoys listening to the screams of the other Devils. He loves to witness human pain and suffering and enjoys mentally tormenting his victims.

He will give nightmares to humans after showing them their happy dreams. He enjoyed the terrified faces of his victims when struck by misfortune and continued to enjoy the times when they groaned in pain. He also shows a bit of masochistic tendencies which we can see when he shows pleasure at the thought of Muzan Kibutsuji killing him.

Even though he was writhing in pain from the large amount of blood from Muzan Kibutsuji, he was still able to laugh happily. He didn't care about human life, seeing them as mere disposable pawns. He didn't warn the humans he was taking advantage of about the dangers of entering the Demon Slayers' dreams and only gave false promises.

Enmu is also very intelligent and manipulative, using the thought of having sweet dreams as an incentive. He made humans his tools and forced them to do his dirty work. He exploited human weakness and made them kill each other. Even though he is very intelligent, by receiving more Muzan's blood he becomes overconfident and thinks that he can kill Tanjiro Kamado as well as Upper Rank demon.

8. The Strongest Lower Rank Demon

Enmu held the position of Lower Rank One demon, the strongest of the Lower Rank demons. By receiving a large amount of Muzan Kibutsuji's blood, all of his abilities are enhanced making him stronger than ever.

9. He can Put Others to Sleep with His Blood-Stained Train Ticket

By mixing his blood with the ink on the train ticket, Enmu can make anyone who touches him fall asleep instantly. After that he will manipulate the dreams of his victims.

10. He can Tie Someone in a Dream with a Rope

Enmu can make a unique type of rope. When the rope is tied to a person trapped in one of his dreams as well as a person outside his dreams, the rope allows the outsider to enter the dream of his trapped victim. In order to enter into the victim's dream, an outsider who is Enmu's subordinate must first tie the rope to the victim and themself. Then the outsider fell asleep and entered the dream of the victim.

11. He could Fuse with A Train

Enmu demonstrated his ability to assimilate and fuse himself into a huge train. This turns the train into his main body.

12. He can Manipulate His Own Flesh and Blood to Trick Others

Enmu can manipulate his own flesh and blood. He is able to create a body duplicate with his flesh and blood, to trick others into thinking it is his real body.

13. He can Mentally Paralyze His Victims by Destroying Spiritual Cores in Dreams

Enmu's Kekkijutsu or Demon Blood Arts allows him to enter, manipulate, and control one's dreams. He is capable of destroying the minds of his victims by destroying their 'Spiritual Core' in dreams which will damage them mentally.

14. He has a Mouth in His Hands that can Force Others to Fall Asleep

Kyosei Konto Saimin no Sasayaki is a mouth formed on the back of Enmu’s hand. The mouth can tell the opponent to sleep, and can even force others to fall asleep right away!

15. He can also Create Many Eyes to Put His Opponents to Sleep

Kyosei Konto Suimin: Manako is Enmu’s technique that can create multiple eyes that have the kanji for 'dream' (Yume) written on their irises. When the opponent's eyes saw Enmu's creation, they would immediately fall asleep under the hypnosis.
