Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) just announced that Tokyo game Show 2020 is held online from 23-27 September 2020. CESA previously announced that TGS 2020 is canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

TGS 2020 was scheduled for 24-27 September at Makuhari Messe convention center, outside of Tokyo. But canceled because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

This is the first time TGS is canceled since it’s established in 1996, but no one is surprised with the cancelation. In turn, they held an online event but the date is not yet announced.

During the online TGS 2020, several companies will introduce new information. Starting from big-name publishers to indie game developers will give updates in the event. The online TGS 2020 is aired on Tokyo Game Show’s official channel, streaming program, video, and website prepared by the organizer.

Besides giving an update about gaming world, online TGS 2020 also has an esports tournament as entertainment.

The participants and those involved in the business will utilize the online business matching system provided by the organizer. The system is set to launch in August 2020.

CESA has started the exhibition registration and application for “Select Exhibition” for the indie game. There’s an online competition titled “Sense of Wonder Night 2020,” a competition to introduce ideas of the participants.
