EVOS Legends have officially missed the playoffs in MPL ID Season 15. What the team had hoped to avoid has become a painful reality, repeating a nightmare that has now struck the White Tigers once again.

This has marked the fourth time EVOS have failed to qualify for the playoffs throughout their 15-season journey in MPL Indonesia—a surprising statistic for one of the country’s biggest teams with a massive, loyal fanbase.

The disappointment has been amplified by the high expectations that followed the arrival of two superstar signings—Albert and Kyy. Though the duo had performed well early in the season, they ultimately have failed to carry EVOS to the top and instead have been dragged down with the rest of the team.

There are many things that could be said about EVOS’ failure to reach the playoffs in MPL ID S15. But one of the most crucial aspects is the accountability taken by EVOS MLBB Deputy, Aufa Bassam—also known as Flipflop.

Flipflop has been the one fully responsible for EVOS' performance this season, especially after ONER had stepped down from handling the MLBB division to focus on other internal responsibilities within the organization.

“We Weren’t Worth It This Season,” Says Flipflop

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Flipflop issued a statement and apology, taking full responsibility for the team’s failure.

“Since I joined EVOS in Season 13, we have failed to qualify for the playoffs in both Season 14 and 15. Our defeat to ONIC has confirmed our elimination from the playoffs,” Flipflop stated.

“There are no excuses for our poor performance this season. None. The failure is completely on me. That’s why I want to sincerely apologize.”

“Thank you to all the fans who have kept supporting us through this difficult time—both online and offline at the MPL Arena. I’m sorry for disappointing everyone this season,” he concluded.

It remains unclear what changes EVOS must make ahead of the next season. But one thing is certain: EVOS Fams have once again become the biggest victims—and they won’t be seeing their team play for at least the next three months.
