In the Point Rush round, all teams competed fiercely and displayed their best performance to earn the maximum points possible in the Grand Final. The more points they earned, the greater their chances of becoming the EWC Free Fire 2025 champion, especially with the new "Champion Rush" format.
In the "Champion Rush" format, each team must earn a total of 80 match points and earn BOOYAH to be crowned champion. This competition will be fierce, as each region has already learned about this new format. Indonesian teams such as RRQ, EVOS, and Team Vitality have successfully earned maximum points in Point Rush.
Indonesia's chances of becoming the EWC Free Fire 2025 champion are significant. This brings back memories of Indonesia's victory in the Free Fire World Championship in 2019, making Indonesia's name shine in the international competitive scene. So, what were the results of the Free Fire Esports World Cup Grand Final? Check out the following review.
EVOS Wins EWC Free Fire 2025, The International Title Returns to Indonesia!
The Free Fire Esports World Cup Grand Final will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with 12 of the best Free Fire teams competing for the EWC Free Fire 2025 title and a total cash prize of US$1,250,000. Naturally, all teams are eager to win and make their mark in history.
In Game 1, Bermuda, all teams were on fire in the Grand Final. Various conflicts between teams were highlighted, with Indonesian teams EVOS and Team Vitality appearing solid and resilient in the opening game. Despite this, the Thai team, Buriram United Esports, managed to secure the BOOYAH in Bermuda.
The match was briefly interrupted due to technical difficulties. Nevertheless, the teams remained enthusiastic and gave their best performances. In game 2, Purgatory, Indonesian team EVOS once again performed well and broke into the top 4. EVOS was eliminated, and Thai team AG AL secured the BOOYAH in Purgatory.
Like the saying goes, "almost isn't enough," EVOS returned to their dominance in game 3, Kalahari, eliminating all opponents in front of them. EVOS and RRQ battled again in the late game, and EVOS finally secured the BOOYAH they had been waiting for in Kalahari. The competition between all the teams was truly incredible, especially EVOS, who was truly aggressive.
In game 4, Alpine, EVOS once again performed at their best, although they ultimately failed to make the top 4. Another Indonesian team, RRQ, tried to fight until the end but was ultimately defeated by their opponents. And finally, the Thai team, AG AL, secured another BOOYAH.
The competition in Game 5 heated up at Nexterra. From the start, EVOS was battered by the Brazilian team, PAIN Gaming, in the Grav Labs area. However, the defensive skills of each EVOS player were truly extraordinary, and they managed to score crucial points to advance to Champion Rush.
Successfully holding on to the top 4, the Brazilian team, LOS, managed to gain momentum after AG AL and the Dragons were eliminated. However, ultimately, EVOS was unable to secure BOOYAH, as LOS secured it in Game 5 of Nexterra. Importantly, EVOS secured Champion Rush heading into Game 6.
Going into Game 6, EVOS, as the team with Champions Rush, was already a target for their opponents. Buriram United Esports tried to eliminate them, but instead of succeeding, they were eliminated too early. However, the game continued.
The battle heated up in the mid-game, with EVOS chasing down all opponents, but each opponent tried to stop the Tiger, and finally, Peter from PAIN Gaming stopped EVOS. Meanwhile, AGAL, the team that secured Champion Rush, was also eliminated, signaling the continuation of the match.
All teams were increasingly drawn into the battle under the TV Tower area. Team Vitality held on until the late game, alongside Dragons Esports, and ultimately, "The King of Solara" secured a BOOYAH. For your information, both EVOS and AGAL secured Champion Rush points this time.
Game 7 began again on Solara. Indonesian teams, such as RRQ and Team Vitality, were closing in on Champion Rush Point. However, EVOS and AG AL were in the spotlight for securing Champion Rush Point. The battle heated up, with two new teams, Buriram and Falcons, eliminated.
As the game progressed, EVOS and AG AL were defeated, allowing other teams, such as RRQ, Team Vitality, and LOS, to try to accumulate points heading into Game 8. Ultimately, RRQ and LOS became a late-game duel, but Team LOS secured their second BOOYAH in Game 7.
Game 8 returned to Kalahari, likely the deciding game, with four teams—EVOS, RRQ, LOS, and AG AL—seizing Champion Rush Points. The Kalahari map is undoubtedly iconic and memorable, serving as a crucial game-changer.
EVOS engaged Buriram in the early game. However, Buriram managed to save themselves, two players survived, and the game resumed. Midway through the game, one of the Brazilian teams, LOS, was eliminated. AG AL attempted to fend off PAIN Gaming's advance. EVOS, RRQ, and Team Vitality remained in the game.
EVOS and RRQ clashed, but FLUXO joined the third team. AG AL was down to two players, Vitality cornered, and bombs rained down on RRQ Fluxo and EVOS. RRQ managed to capture FLUXO's players. Four teams remained, with Champion Rush Points. Who would prevail?
AG AL was defeated, and three Indonesian teams were neck and neck at the finish line. Vitality, EVOS, and RRQ battled. However, due to Vitality's superior player count, they managed to cripple EVOS and RRQ while simultaneously securing the BOOYAH in Game 8 and securing Champion Rush Points.
Game 9 began on Purgatory. The game appeared passive at the start, with each team trying to prepare as best as possible. RRQ was briefly attacked by the Falcons in the Logs area, but still managed to mount a comeback. Two teams, Movistar R7 and Core Memory KOG, were eliminated early.
Towards the late game, the battle escalated. Each team with Champion Rush Points went toe-to-toe with each other, with Vitality LOS and AG AL both eliminated. This left the Falcons and RRQ to battle. Unfortunately, RRQ failed to capitalize on their golden opportunity to win the championship, and the Falcons secured the BOOYAH.
Game 10 finally took place, the first time the Champions Rush format lasted until the final game. It's worth noting that in the previous game, Dragons Esports from the MENA region secured Champion Rush Points. EVOS's chances of winning the EWC Free Fire 2025 championship were wide open if the team with Champion Rush Points didn't secure a BOOYAH by the end of the match.
A heated battle ensued, particularly in the mid-game, where RRQ managed to defeat AG AL. However, disaster struck for the Kings, as RRQ fell to FLUXO. EVOS and Team Vitality, the two remaining Indonesian teams, battled for the EWC Free Fire 2025 championship title.
The final duel left EVOS and Team Vitality in contention, and ultimately, Rasyah and his teammates secured the EWC Free Fire 2025 title. EVOS successfully settled their grudge from last year's runner-up finish. EVOS's victory in EWC Free Fire 2025 was, as if destiny had already written, a source of pride for Indonesia.
