EVOS’s poor performance had been something that fans had to accept in MPL ID Season 15. Despite carrying high expectations after star signings like Albert and Kyy, the reality on the battlefield told a different story.

EVOS had failed to reach the playoffs once again—even with such a luxurious roster. The presence of two household names hadn't been enough to elevate the team to the next level. This marked the fourth time EVOS had missed the playoffs.

What made it even more painful was the fact that this had happened twice in a row. Naturally, frustration had grown, and disappointment toward EVOS had continued to mount.

Criticism always followed underperforming teams, and EVOS had been no exception. This time, much of the blame had shifted to the management, even though they had made major transfer moves before the season began.

On the surface, it had seemed as though there was nothing left to defend in EVOS, especially after all three coaches had been farewelled in a single announcement post.

REKT Spoke on EVOS’s Poor Form

Alter Ego coach and EVOS legend REKT shared his thoughts on the matter. He didn’t agree with the growing narrative that EVOS’s poor season had been purely the management’s fault.

At the end of the day, REKT emphasized that the ones most responsible for a team’s performance were the players and the coaching staff themselves.

“EVOS players are good, but the management is to blame? Why are people blaming the management, guys? Management knows nothing about gameplay. Blaming the management is ridiculous,” said Gustian during a livestream.

It will be interesting to see what kind of overhaul EVOS will carry out ahead of MPL ID Season 16. Which parts will be reshaped, and which will be replaced—only time will tell.
