1. Once Invited Vander Decken IX to Join His Crew

Arlong's first fact is that he once recruited Vander Decken. Vander Decken is a fishman who is also one of the antagonists in the Fishman Island arc. He also has a devil fruit ability so he has to use bubbles when he's in the water.

Vander Decken said that Arlong had invited him to join his pirate group. The former refused because he did not want to become someone's subordinate.

2. Respects Fisher Tiger

Originally, Arlong was a fishman with bad views of humans and he will kill any human he sees. There is only one person who can stop Arlong's bad attitude, and that is Fisher Tiger

Because of that, Arlong really respected Fisher Tiger who slowly changes him. Thanks to him, Arlong no longer kills humans.

3. The Triumvirate of the Sun Pirates

Fisher Tiger was also the first captain of the Sun Pirates before being replaced by Jinbei.

4. Once Defeated by Kizaru

Fisher Tiger was killed by the Marines. This made Arlong mad and returned to having a very negative view of humans. Arlong wanted to take revenge by defeating the Marines that existed at that time.

But his action was stopped by Kizaru which left him beaten. This was the main reason Arlong formed his own pirates and returned to attacking humans.

5. An Inspiration for Hody Jones

6. The Creator of Arlong Park

Arlong Park is the place Arlong founded in Nami's hometown, Kokoyashi village. Since he was a child, Arlong has often seen the beauty of Sabaody Park even though it is quite far away. Since then, he has been thinking about setting up a similar place in the future.

7. Former Impel Down Prisoner

After his defeat against Luffy, Arlong was captured and thrown into Impel Down. Luckily, Arlong was able to be released thanks to Jinbei, who was serving as a Shichibukai at that time. Jinbei's goal of becoming a Shichibukai is to be able to help his fellow fishmen and protect Fishman Island.

Arlong is the only prisoner of Impel Down ever to be freed. Meanwhile, the other prisoners will forever be in Impel Down if they don't try to escape.

Even though Arlong is an antagonist in One Piece, his three friends have helped Luffy and his friends. The first is Hatchan who helped bring Luffy to Rayleigh.

The second one is Aladine who helped Luffy escape from the Big Mom Pirates' attack on Whole Cake Island. The last one is Jinbei who is now a member of the Straw Hats.

10. His Fate is Currently Unknown After Time Skip

Arlong's last fact is that his fate is currently unknown. The last known news about Arlong is that he was released from Impel Down thanks to Jinbei, who was serving as a Shichibukai at the time. But it is not known what will happen to Arlong after the time skip. Is he still a pirate or starting a new life instead? Only Oda knows.
