Dr Doom is one of the most unique and interesting supervillains of all time. Dr. Doom, also known as Victor von Doom, is a monarch from Latveria and a nemesis of the Fantastic Four. However, despite being one of the most powerful and interesting villains in the Marvel Universe, the character is yet to get a definitive live-action adaptation.
The Dunia Games team will discuss facts about Dr. Doom that you can only find in comics. Let's see in more detail.
1. He Can Be a Sorcerer Supreme
Dr. Stephen Strange, known as the Sorcerer Supreme in the Marvel Universe, is a powerful magical entity and, just as importantly, a heroic character. However, there is something quite surprising to consider, Doctor Doom which was developed as a potential replacement for the Sorcerer Supreme.
For some people who may not know, Doctor Doom is not just an ordinary criminal. He is one of the most powerful magical creatures in the Marvel Universe. Interestingly, most of his magical abilities were acquired through self-study.
2. Have Diplomatic Immunity
Given the fact that Doctor Doom is the sole ruler and monarch of Latveria, this character has some of the rights normally attached to a political leader. One of the most obvious rights is the concept of diplomatic immunity, granted to Doctor Doom. This is a bit hard to understand because the world is well aware that Victor von Doom is a criminal, yet they can't touch him due to diplomatic immunity.
3. Defeated the Phoenix Force and the Holder of the Infinity Gauntlet
Any casual fan of Marvel movies knows that the Phoenix Force and the Infinity Gauntlet are some of the most powerful forces in the universe. The Phoenix Force has been the subject of several films, showing how powerful it really is; while the Infinity Gauntlet is the central plot point of Thanos' story in the MCU.
However, Doom once directed the Beyonders' powers, which gave Doom the power of a god. During this period, Doom manages to defeat a Phoenix-enhanced Cyclops and even a Black Panther wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.
4. Healed The Thing
While The Thing is one of the strongest characters in Marvel Comics, he is also one of the most tormented. It's true that a cosmic accident gave him his powers, but it also damaged Ben Grimm, turning him into a giant stone creature. Mr. Fantastic had always been distraught that he couldn't heal The Thing and restore his humanity, but Doctor Doom did. However, Doctor Doom later turned Ben Grimm back into The Thing.

5. Fought Against Mephisto
Mephisto is basically Marvel's version of the Devil, with the being presiding over a domain he calls Hell and also trapping and torturing souls. One of the most famous souls Mephisto held in his realm was Cynthia von Doom, mother of Victor von Doom.
Doctor Doom is obsessed with saving his mother's soul and, as a consequence, made a deal with Mephisto that he is allowed to summon Mephisto once a year to fight if Doom wins his mother's soul will be freed. However, each time Doom failed, the people of Latveria hated Doom even more.
6. Leads Fantastic Four
Although the Fantastic Four appear to be Dr Doom's nemesis, Victor Von Doom has apparently worked with and even led the Fantastic Four on several occasions. In this issue of Fantastic Four #318 by Steve Englehardt and Keith Pollard, Doom ventures into the Baxter Building with the express purpose of helping Thing, Ms. Thing, and Human Torch on their mission to the negative zone in search of Beyonders.
It would be natural for the Fantastic Four to be skeptical (of course, Doom kicked off the issue by mercilessly killing Owen Reece!), but after Doom manages to save the team from Blastaar, a glimmer of trust begins to form. "Secret Wars 3", which semi-officially then follows an extremely complex cosmic saga throughout the history of the Celestial Madonna, but in the end, Doom shows that he is a man of principle and he fulfills his promise to protect the Fantastic Four.
7. Learned Mystic Arts from Doctor Strange
Doctor Doom and Doctor Strange: Triumph and Torment, written by Roger Stern and Mike Mignola, are among the best Marvel comic books of all time and are also the stories about Doctor Doom that stand out the most. At the beginning of the story, the mysterious Aged Genghis issues a call that only those with a sensitivity to the magical world can hear. Doctor Strange and the other would-be Sorcerer Supreme responded to this call, and they were all aghast to see Doctor Doom making a thunderous appearance on his private jet.
During the course of the assessment exam, Doom makes use of his internal armor system to learn from the wizards around him first-hand. By copying the advanced techniques of Doctor Strange and others, Doctor Doom made it to the final stages of the exam, ultimately giving him the privilege of asking something of the victor, Doctor Strange.
8. Beaten by Squirrel Girl, Twice!
To this day, it's been the butt of endless jokes that Squirrel Girl managed to subdue Doctor Doom in her debut (Marvel Super-Heroes #8 in 1992 by Steve Ditko). When she was first introduced to the world of Marvel, Doreen Green was described as a true Iron Man fan who was very ambitious to collaborate with the gold plated Avenger. Even though this never seemed to materialize, Squirrel Girl was able to keep Doctor Doom distracted until she finally earned the title as Marvel's unbeatable hero.
2016's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #5, written by Ryan North and Erica Henderson, continued on that winning streak, with Squirrel Girl pitting herself against Doom in an intricate and twist-filled plot set in the '60s. Squirrel Girl once again outplays Doom, utilizing a combination of programming languages and time travel (trust us) to defeat the absolute power of Doom once again.
9. Cast in Live Action
Julian McMahon, a talented Australian actor, is known for his role as Doctor Doom, or Victor Von Doom, in the Marvel live-action movie, "Fantastic Four" and its sequel, "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer". McMahon brings a powerful presence and magnetic charisma to the character, making Doctor Doom a compelling adversary that cannot be ignored.
Even though this role demands a lot from McMahon, including a scary physical appearance and full of armor, he faces these challenges with the dedication and professionalism that makes him the perfect choice to play Doctor Doom.
10. Dr Doom Killed Cassie Lang
Although we rarely imagine Doctor Doom as a child executioner, in Avengers: The Children's Crusade, this is the role Doom received. The whole story is a bizarre attempt to resurrect the Young Avengers while alleviating Scarlet Witch's guilt in Avengers Disassembled and House of M. Instead, it shows Doctor Doom trying to gain Wanda Maximoff's powers for his own benefit.
At the climax of the battle, the Young Avengers struggle to contain the all-powerful Doctor Doom, don the Beyonder suit, and are now transformed into giants. Cassie Lang, decides to duel Victor Von. By this time, Doom had recovered his handsome appearance and would not allow any distractions from bad boys. Stature sacrificed his life, delaying Doom to give his team time to win.
