Of all the characters in Attack on Titan, Falco turns out to be the most unexpected character who can transform into a very unique titan. Instead of turning into a regular Jaw Titan based on Porco Galliard’s titan power that he inherits, Falco becomes an entirely different form of Jaw Titan.

In his titan form, Falco becomes a flying Jaw Titan who can travel very fast while being a great ride for the humans when facing Eren’s final titan form. Of course, there’s a lot more to find out about Hajime Isayama’s arguably most unique titan ever created, so check them out right here:

1. Zeke’s Spinal Fluid Is the Trigger

One thing you should probably know by now is that Falco’s Jaw Titan isn’t meant to be able to fly on its own, and his unique form as a winged Jaw Titan exists from consuming Porco after drinking Zeke’s spinal fluid to become a feral titan.

Because the previous Beast Titan was capable of flight, Zeke’s memory which Falco inherits makes him believe that he can also fly, and it ends up transforming him into a flying titan.

2. Still Possesses Jaw Titan’s Main Strength

As an extension of Jaw Titan, Falco is still capable of unleashing Jaw Titan’s battle prowess, although he can’t use that ability in his Flying Titan form as he can only fly with quick agility.

Especially during the fight against Eren, the Flying Titan is intended to protect the other characters as they fight him. Even so, Falco’s titan form is still capable of fighting like many other titans.

3. Plays A Vital Role During the Last Battle

Without Falco’s Flying Titan, things could’ve turned out differently during the survivors’ battle against Eren. While not as tough as the Armored Titan or Cart Titan, Falco’s titan plays a major role during the decisive battle and is actually the decisive factor that tips the balance of the battle.

Falco’s extremely quick flight saves Levi and his friends from the titans’ assault on Eren’s titan’s back more than once. And while taking cover on Falco’s back, Levi and the rest are able to form a decisive strategy to destroy Eren.
