Despite reading the manga or watch One Piece anime, not all secret of each character was revealed by Oda. Some information only available on One Piece Vivre Card Databook. Here is more information about Foxy, Tonjit, dan Jaguar D. Saul on Vivre Card Volume 9!

Foxy

Foxy’s past is finally revealed in this discussion. Foxy was born 38 years ago in the South Blue. In his 20s, Foxy used to be a boxer and fighting in a tournament. However, 15 years ago his boxing license was revoked after he was caught cheating by secretly sneak a weapon in the arena. Because of that, Foxy lost permission to participate in other tournaments, making him depressed.

Two years after that, Foxy found Noro Noro no Mi and ate it, granted him the ability to slow down time. Three years after that, at the age of 28, Foxy learned about the legendary pirate, Davy Jones. Fascinated by it, Foxy decided to become a pirate and started to do Davy Back Fight to recruit many crew.

Through the use of sly and dirty tricks, Foxy managed to win 920 victories. But this unbeatable record was broken by the Straw Hat Pirate. As the results, Foxy only has bounty price of 24,000,000 Belly. 

According to Vivre Card, Foxy is a man with a broad knowledge who has impressive tactics and also the ability to deceive others with his words. Just like a fox, he also well-versed in the art of disguise. Foxy is nicknamed Silver Fox due to his hair resembling the ears of a fox. Foxy is also sensitive if someone insults his hair, making him depressed.

Tonjit

This old man had met with Luffy and his friends in the Long Ring Long Land arc. Tonjit originally meant to look more Mongolian in appearance (because Long Ring Rong Land was actually inspired by the Mongolian). Even so, some parts of Tonjit are inspired from the cowboys from various western films.

Jaguar D. Saul

Originally, Saul was meant to be a Commodore, but Oda changed him to Vice Admiral. But Oda has a brilliant idea when creating this character. Saul is one of the D. clan members, despite not being an ordinary human. Given he isn’t the same race as the other D. clan members who are humans, Oda asks how are the bloodlines of D. clan connected if one of them is a giant.

Of course we are curious about other facts from Jaguar D. Saul that Oda hasn’t reveal yet until now.
