The Boys series is the opposite of superhero stories in general. While DC and Marvel show off a collection of superheroes who defend the truth, this series that airs on Prime Video actually presents superheroes who defend themselves.

1. Homelander is the Captain of a Superhero Team Called The Seven
Homelander becomes the leader of the superhero squad called The Seven. The roster of The Seven takes the idea from DC's Justice League. However, it is rewritten to be like a parody. There is an spoof of The Flash, namely A-Train, a fast runner but addicted to drugs. Black Noir, a ninja in a all-black and dark costume, but not too rich if compared to Batman. The Deep is a fishman, but not the king of the oceans like Aquaman. Queen Maeve, a woman who is as tough as Wonder Woman, but fragile at heart. Not to forget the duplication of Superman but evil, and who else if it's non other than Homelander himself.
2. Homelander Has Powers Like Superman
Homelander is described as a nationalist like Captain America. As seen from his robes that is made to resemble the United States flag. However, Homelander's powers are similar to those of Superman, fbeing able to fly to shoot lasers from his eyes. Homelander also has super hearing which allows him to hear someone who's talking dirty about him, especially from his fellow superheroes. Unfortunately, Homelander's behavior is not as good as Superman.
3. Homelander is Very Ruthless and Ihumane
Despite having a superhuman title, Homelander is very inhumane. His unmatched strength makes Homelander act arbitrarily and often bullies his teammates in The Seven. Homelander's cruelty is shown by not hesitate to kill his fellow superheroes to threaten other superheroes into obeying him.
4. Homelander's Real Name is John
Just like the U.S. Agent whose real name is John Walker, Homelander is also named John. This is known when Homelander is called 'John' by Queen Maeve who has known him for a long time. However, his last name is still unknown.
5. Homelander Often Makes Blunder While On Duty
When in difficult situations, Homelander, who should come as a savior, often makes blunders. For example, when Homelander fired a laser at terrorists without looking at their surroundings. Unlike Superman who came from another planet and became a superhuman on Earth, Homelander is a product created by a pharmaceutical company. Little John was injected with compound V which made him superhuman. Under Vought International, John was made into a Homelander with all the company's direction.

Homelander has an eternal rival, namely William Butcher. One time, Homelander once kidnapped Butcher's wife. It is this sin that makes Homelander hunted by Butcher, whose hobby is destroying superheroes. In fact, Homelander can instantly finish off Butcher with his laser eye. However, Homelander wants a sport that makes his heart pumping, so he lets Butcher fight longer.
8. Homelander Has Superhero Son

Homelander was once paired with Queen Maeve as a superhero couple in The Seven. However, recently Queen Maeve, has shown her distaste for Homelander which she finds very abusive, forcing Homelander look for a replacement for the needs of the sensation on the screen. As a result, Homelander pretends to be dating Starlight. The depressed Starlight finally complies with Homelander's rotten scenario to become a set boyfriend.
