The noir K-drama about teenage life, Hope or Dope, has released a promotional poster and main teaser for its second season, Hope or Dope 2. The second season of the teen drama still follows Kyung Da Jung, the 18-year-old girl who’s used by her parents to transport drugs. After she flees to the countryside, she meets Gong Yoon Tak, a countryside boy who gets overwhelmed by his life. In the latest teaser for Hope or Dope 2, Da Jung and other teenagers are faced with a new problem.

Kyung Da Jung, played by Won Jin Ah, is an 18-year-old girl who’s used by her family to transport drugs, but her parent’s plan falls apart once she decides to hide in the countryside. 

Gong Yoon Tak is played by the young actor Yoon Chan Young, who gained popularity through All of Us Are Dead in early 2022. Yoon Tak is a boy who lives in the countryside who becomes the breadwinner and takes care of his father and siblings after the passing of his mother. Due to his kind, responsible, and hardworking nature, Gong Yoon Tak is deemed as the ideal son-in-law by the villagers. 

There are also other familiar names in the drama cast, such as Yoon Hyun Soo from Racket Boys who plays Yoon Tak’s little brother, Gong Yoon Jae, Han se Jin from Love Alarm and A Piece of Your Mind who plays Kim Gook Hee, an optimistic and bright young man who has a crush on his classmate, and Yang Seo Hyun (Light on Me) who plays Hong Ae Ran, a popular girl who becomes the talk of the town since her mother works at a karaoke bar.

Directed by Jo Yong Ik and Jung Soo Yoon as the screenwriter, Hope or Dope 2 will continue Da Jung and Yoon Tak’s story from the first season. Before you watch the second season, be sure to check out some facts about this series.
