In Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse, there is a version of Spider-Man that is quite a concern because she always carries a motorbike in battle, Jessica Drew. Also known as Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew is quite adept at riding a motorbike and maneuvering using the spider web she has.

1. Got the Power from Her Father

From what was told in the comic, Jessica Drew was once told as a very unhealthy child, it was because she was exposed to uranium. With her condition, her geneticist father Jonathan Drew gave her an experimental serum containing irradiated spider blood and placed it in a genetic accelerator. It can certainly heal her, but it also gives her powers as Spider-Woman.

2. First Appearance in Marvel Spotlight #32 (November, 1976)

Jessica Drew or Spider-Woman, is a female version of Spider-Man's variant character, which was not directly created by Stan Lee. In fact, the creators of Jessica Drew or Spider-Woman are Archie Goodwin, Sal Buscema, Jim Mooney, and also Marie Severin. They created Spider-Woman whose initial appearance was in Marvel Spotlight #32 which was released in November 1976.

3. Her Power Origin Changed in 2006

Actually Spider-Woman has two different origin stories, which is true in comic book history, it's quite common in the Marvel universe. The first origin of Spider-Woman stems from Jonathan Drew or his father giving an experimental serum containing spider blood that irradiated a sick Jessica. So the origin was replaced in Spider-Woman Origin in 2006, where Jessica's powers came from a scientific incident involving spider DNA when her mother was pregnant with her.

4. Connection with HYDRA

Spider-Woman is a character connected to the evil organization HYDRA after her parents left. In those cases, Jessica Drew was brought into the ranks of HYDRA under false pretenses, was arrested or lied to about their true goals. She then trained at HYDRA for several years, developing fighting skills that she would later use as a hero before she fled the organization.

Like Spider-Man, Spider-Woman also has the same powers as Spider-Man in general. But there is one special power that only Jessica Drew as Spider-Woman has. This power is the power of venom blast, the power in the form of bio-electric bursts that she can control. She can channel this power through her hand channels, which Jessica will use to paralyze or weaken her enemies.

6. A Spy and Detective

Apart from Spider-Woman's abilities which can indeed make him a spy. Actually Jessica Drew is quite skilled at being a spy and detective, even without using Spider-Woman's powers. While the real Jessica Drew was trapped by the Skrulls inside HYDRA, the Skrull Queen Veranke assumes the identity of Jessica and joins the New Avengers. Then the deception uncovered begins a worldwide Skrull invasion, leading to the real Jessica returning and joining the New Avengers.

8. Romantic Relationship with Hawkeye

Jessica Drew has had several romantic lives with several Marvel characters, one of which is special is her relationship with fellow Avenger, Clint Barton or Hawkeye. The two began their relationship when they became teammates with the Avengers during the saga of the comic event Fear Itself. Although the pair did not stay together for very long due to temporary friction between them, they later remained friends who still care for one another.

9. Besties with Captain Marvel

For the past decade or so, Jessica Drew has been one of Carol Danvers' sidekicks in the Captain Marvel comic book stories, both within and outside of their superhero career. She was also able to gather important information which turned out to be able to help the Spider team win their battle. Though she succeeds, this ordeal takes a toll on Jessica and ultimately leads her to leave the Avengers.

11. Involved in Many Avengers Team

In the stories in the comics, Jessica Drew or Spider-Woman has spent a lot of time on the superhero team known as the Avengers. Not only one Avengers team, but she also joined almost all the Avengers teams in the comics. Like the Avengers themselves, then there's the New Avengers, until there's also the Secret Avengers, where Jessica's role is very important and really helps the actions of all of these Avengers.

12. An Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and S.W.O.R.D

Jessica Drew has not only been confirmed for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but will also be pregnant in the film. This is inspired by the storyline that happened in Spider-Woman Vol. 6. Although initially there were many rumors both in the story world and online from comic fans about who the baby father of Jessica Drew was. But the truth was revealed, that Jessica had gone through the process of artificial insemination to become the parent of the baby she had.

14. Several Cool Costume Variants

For most of her comic books, Spider-Woman's outfit was a tight-fitting one-piece bodysuit, which is both iconic and most practical for her. But it's different in Spider-Woman 2014 Vol. 5 which turned out to give him a new costume which is indeed interesting. The costume, designed by Kris Anka, consists of a jacket that can be changed from casual to hero mode in a few clicks, along with black pants, two-tone gloves and sunglasses that are the image of the original mask.

15. Likes Riding Motorcycles

Apart from her strength as Spider-Woman which can make Jessica swing from one building to another, it can make her go somewhere quickly. Jessica apparently prefers to ride a motorcycle to go somewhere. But she will be forced to use Spider-Woman's power if circumstances don't support her to ride her motorbike.
