5. Origin of Komodo in Marvel

It all began with a smart girl named Melati Kusuma who had an accident in New York and lost both her legs. Because of her intelligence, Melati Kusuma got a full scholarship from Empire State University and got an internship at Doctor Connors (Lizard) who has an interest in her serum. She then earned Doctor Connor’s trust and Melati stole the serum. After that Melati modifies it and gains regeneration power but doesn't lose her mind like Lizard. Melati then chose the name Komodo as her superhero name.

4. Komodo Joined The Initiative

Komodo in the comic book was recruited by a superhero group called The Initiative. Having a very useful ability, Komodo always participates in various kinds of dangerous missions carried out by The Initiative. One of the missions that almost killed her was when she was involved in World War Hulk, where she had to restore New York City after the Hulk war. Plus Komodo also managed to defeat quite a number of Hulk warriors whose body was 5 times bigger than himself.

3. Komodo Had a Role in Avengers Academy

Even though never joined the Avengers, she can still appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Komodo can join the organization. Together with Taskmaster, Mutant Zero, Bengal, and Constrictor, Komodo tries to conquer Madripoor. In return Komodo gets the intel she needs to carry out her mission.

Doctor Connors’ serum grants many abilities, ranging from direct regeneration, physical strength, reflexes, speed, to drastic stamina improvement. Komodo can lift a load of 1 ton at a time.
