1. Hiding as an Ordinary Person

Faye is only seen in the game God of War as a corpse that has been wrapped and ready to be cremated. But then, it was revealed that she is one of the most important characters in the series. There are lots of references made by other characters about Faye.

She is Kratos' second wife and Atreus' mother. Even though she lived as a human, Faye was actually a Giant from Jotunheim. She hid her true identity from her family for unknown reasons. She is also known as a fearsome and honorable warrior, even attracting the attention of Thor, one of the most powerful Aesir. Even Kratos, her husband, respects her fighting skills, and says that she fights beautifully.

The cool thing is, she is also the owner of the Leviathan Ax used by Kratos during his adventures. This was revealed by Brook and Sindri who are the makers of the weapon.

3. Faye Knows about Kratos' Past and Hiding Them 

It is unknown when or how she met Kratos, but after an unknown amount of time, they fell in love. Faye married him and they had a son named Atreus. Faye even knows her husband's true nature as a god as well as his tragic and complicated past, she keeps it a secret from their son. As Atreus said, Kratos spent his time away from home hunting.

Every day, Faye would teach her son about various languages around the Nine Realms, or at least the ones she knew, and she would also teach him archery. Even so, not once did Faye tell about Kratos' past life. Atreus knows Kratos' past from Kratos himself after he kills Baldur.
