Who doesn’t know Madara Uchiha with so many shocking facts in the Naruto series? Starting from his massive chakra, massive fighting ability, and has a strategic mind that shouldn’t be underestimated. 1. He Was Actually the First Hokage
When Senju was led by Hashirama and Uchiha was led by Madara, the two of them decided to make peace even though the two clans often stuck to have an agreement and resulted in bloodshed. Together, Hashirama and Madara founded Konoha, and the latter was chosen by the former as the First Hokage. But Hashirama’s younger brother, Tobirama, disagreed and suggested that the first Hokage had to be chosen based on votes.
2. Madara Didn't Create the Zetsus
Madara had planned to resurrect from the dead and created Mugen Tsukuyomi with the assumption that Black Zetsu and White Zetsu were his creation to help Obito who at that time took over his identity. Actually, both Black and White Zetsu were not his creation, Black Zetsu actually were Kaguya’s works who was tasked to do her plans, while White Zetsu was the accumulation of victims of Mugen Tsukuyomi that once created by Kaguya.
3. Gedo Mazo Was the Reason Why He Could Live Long
After his defeat against Hashirama, Madara returned to life by using Izanagi, and later he used Hashirama’s cell that he had obtained to make the Gedo Mazo statue. Madara made the Gedo Mazo statue to live long and do all of his biddings to create Mugen Tsukuyomi, but not only that, but the statue also served as a vessel that was used by him to farm Hashirama’s cells.
4. Madara Was the Only Uchiha to Awaken Rinnegan
If you assume that Sasuke awakened Rinnegan, then you are wrong, because the only normal human with Uchiha blood who could awaken Rinnegan was Madara. Madara managed to awaken Rinnegan because he infused Hashirama’s DNA, and Madara was also one of the humans who were not a descendant of the Otsusuki who had Rinnegan, it’s different than Sasuke who had one because he was helped by Hagoromo.
5. Madara Was the First Person to Capture a Bijuu
Juubi (Ten-Tailed Beast) was separated by Hagoromo into 9 Bijuu (Tailed Beasts), and when Hagoromo dead, the Bijuus were free and scattered across the world and lived in the wild. After several years, there was a man named Madara who could capture and make one Bijuu, Kyubi (a Nine-tailed beast) under his control. Kyubi was used by Madara to fight against Hashirama. One day, Kyubi, under Madara’s influence, was freed by Hashirama and immediately secured by the latter.
6. Madara Had Mastered All Elements
As an Uchiha, surely Madara was a ninja who mastered Fire techniques, but in reality, Madara had mastered all-natural elements, starting from fire, earth, air, electricity, to Yin and Yang. Not only that, but he also mastered the Wood element that he had learned for decades after his last fight against Hashirama.

7. Madara Was Not Truly Evil
We have to admit that Madara Uchiha was evil because he was willing to massacre thousands of people, but if you take a closer look at the manga and anime, actually, he wasn’t a bad man. Madara succumbed to villainy because he was once betrayed, to the point he lost his family members, and everything was because of the ninja world war, so Madara wanted peace by his own hands, but still, it was wrong.
8. Madara Loved Fighting and Battles
This may be the reason why Madara could become a powerful and feared ninja because, aside from having Uchiha blood within him, he also loved fighting and going into battle with and against powerful ninjas even greater than himself until he became feared and respected. There are plenty of moments where he loved fighting against more powerful or at par with his rival, Hashirama because when he knew that he faced against a more powerful foe, he would be thrilled.

After the longtime duel, it’s not surprising that Madara considered Hashirama as his rival and admitted that only Hashirama could ever defeat him.
13. Madara Was the First Runaway Ninja
Sasuke Uchiha is one of the ex-runaway ninjas from Konoha, but it might be possible that Sasuke is the last one to do so because there is no runaway ninja to be recorded after him. Madara was the first Konoha runaway ninja who decided to leave his village and betrayed his clan, where he had to leave the village because he disagreed with Hashirama’s reign.
14. Madara Loved Inarizushi as His Favorite Dish
Not only Naruto who has a favorite dish, which is ramen, villains in Naruto also had their favorite foods. For Madara, he loved inarizushi, a sushi-typed food in which the rice is covered by tofu skin, and its filling has white rice and mushrooms.
15. Madara's Favorite Element Was Wind
Madara was indeed an Uchiha descendant, and it was not surprising that he used Fire Release to defeat his opponents, but actually, Fire Release was not his favorite because his favorite element was Wind. Madara loved Wind-style Jutsus and it might be possible that he once combined his Fire Jutsu with the Wind Jutsu that he mastered, and one of the clues that he loved Wind Jutsu was his giant war fan, Gunbai.
