Quantum Realm, the mysterious quantum world, is one of the important elements in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This world has played a key role in movies such as Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and Avengers: Endgame, and continues to be a topic of conversation among MCU fans. There are several facts, one of them is a very striking difference from what is present in the comics.

The Dunia Games team will discuss some facts about the Quantum Realm from Ant-Man: Quantumania. Let's see in more detail

1. Real in Real Life

Marvel as well as the MCU, indeed presents many fictional stories, ranging from characters to places. So recently the MCU phase 5 movie has been released, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. There are many interesting things from the movie, such as the place setting in the Quantum world which turns out to be in the original world. A researcher at the BRIN Quantum Physics Research Center had said that the Quantum Realm is not a magical or fictional world. Its existence is real because it is the realm where microscopic quantum physics resides.

2. Has an Important Role in the MCU

The Quantum Realm in the Ant-Man movie does have an important and useful role, even since it was first introduced to the MCU. The Quantum Realm is one of the interesting elements presented in the MCU, because it has an important role for later stories, as maybe in phase 5 to phase 6. This is natural, because the Quantum Realm is a dimension that has many great mysteries that have not been properly explored.

3. Not a Real Name

The name of the mysterious dimension Quantum Realm in Quantumania has become the subject of discussion for many Marvel fans, that's because this dimension is truly mysterious because it contains many strange things that are not well known. But you need to know, the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man is only the name in the MCU, because in the comic story itself, the Quantum Realm has other names as Micro-World, Micro-Galaxy, and also as the Microverse.

4. Known First in Fantastic Four #10

In the Marvel comic version, the Quantum Realm, known as the Microverse, is a world or dimension that existed for the first time in the 1940s, in the Captain America comics. However, that year the Microverse was not very well known, because the popularity of the Microverse only became known when he appeared in Fantastic Four #10. In the comic, Doctor Doom uses a reducer aimed at the Fantastic Four team, but he misses and instead hits his own body.

5. Psycho Man Came from Quantum Realm

In Fantastic Four #10, Doctor Doom uses a reducer aimed at the Fantastic Four team, but he misses and instead hits his own body. Doom, who is in the Microverse, has succeeded in becoming the ruler there. So that way, the popularity of the Microverse has made many comic titles present this alternative dimension. Interestingly, Marvel Studios presents a villain named Psycho Man whose power comes from that dimension.

6. Name Changed Due to Copyright

There is a reason why Marvel Studios changed the name of the Microverse in the comics to Quantum Realm in the MCU. The answer and the reason is because of copyright. Disney and Marvel Studios cannot use the Microverse name, because Paramount Pictures owns the copyright for that name. Apart from the Microverse, in fact they also own the copyright of the Micronauts.

7. Its Name Created by Dr. Spiros Michalakis

The idea for the emergence of the name Quantum Realm in the MCU came from Dr. Spiros Michalakis, a physicist who also served as a consultant on the movie. In fact, the name Quantum Realm itself is also adapted from another alternative dimension in the comics, namely the Quantum Zone. The scientist actually described that if he were in the Quantum Realm, then all the laws of physics would not apply. So anything can happen and be done if someone can manipulate its power.

8. Many Threats from Inhabitants

As a world and dimension far away from the original world, then there must be many unknown beings. Those of you who have watched Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, surely you already know the many strange creatures in the Quantum Realm. Excluding the stranded Kang The Conqueror, the Quantum Realm contains strange creatures that might threaten newcomers. But if they have the same goals, then they are likely to help.

9. Many Different Life Groups

The comic version of the Quantum Realm, aka the Microverse is already well-known for having several groups of life, such as kingdoms that exist like the K'ai. The residents of K'ai themselves are humanoids who have green skin and are rather scary. Besides them, there is also another planet called Mita, which is home to the inhabitants of the Mitans. They are certainly a kingdom that is very advanced in terms of technology and medicine.

10. Micronauts are the Protectors

In the Quantum Realm known as the Microverse in the comics, it turns out that there are also villains living there. An example is Baron Karza, the leader of the planet Homeworld who once terrorized the Microverse. But apart from villains, the Microverse is also home to a team of heroes, the Micronauts. The Micronauts, or what is now better known as the Enigma Force, is a team of superheroes dedicated to protecting the Microverse.

11. Worldmind is the Power Source

Be it the Microverse or the Quantum Realm, a dimension that is known to have a life of their own. In fact, all the planets in that dimension are alive. Each of these planets has a power that is the source of life for the planet, the Worldmind. With this power, the planets become half of the living things that are able to communicate with each other.

12. Newcomers Can Have Superpowers

It is known that newcomers who come to the Quantum Realm may have super powers. That's like Janet Van Dyne who was trapped in the Quantum Realm for 30 years, an ordinary human who relies on the power of The Wasp costume she uses. Because she was trapped in the Quantum Realm, Janet is known to have super powers. This power is shown that she can help Ava heal terrible things in her body.

13. The Quantum Realm and the Microverse are Different

Not just a name change, the Quantum Realm, which used to be the Microverse, has differences. In the comic version, the Microverse is described as a universe like the solar system. However, in the MCU version, the Microverse, which has another name as the Quantum Realm, is described as a dimension or universe full of color and glitter, then it is also considered to be similar to a psychedelic effect.

14. Not Tied to Real-World Time

At the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp, Ant-Man is trapped in the Quantum Realm. In Avengers: Endgame, it was revealed that Ant-Man had been trapped for 5 years. But strangely, Scott explained that he had only felt in the Quantum world for 5 hours. With this long time difference, it can be explained that the quantum world is not bound by the same time as the real world.

15. Can Be Used as Realm to Another Time

Because it has a different time difference, not tied to real world time, then a certain time at the time that has been set in the Quantum Realm, can make it able to enter the past. This was explained and implemented by Scott and Tony Stark who succeeded in making a time machine from the involvement of the Quantum world. So that way, his role is so important in the MCU.
