Although Naruto and Boruto centers around Naruto and Boruto, all of their friends also get the spotlight in some parts. One of their friends even received his own spin-off series and he is Rock Lee. Maybe Lee isn't everyone's favorite character, but he's definitely loved by his fans.

As a member of Guy's team with Neji Hyuga and Tenten, Rock Lee is a year older than Naruto and his classmates at the Shinobi Academy. 1. Inspired by Bruce Lee

All character names in the Naruto franchise have special meanings. Usually, they relate to something related to the character's personality. In Lee's case, his name pays homage to the person who inspired his character.

In real life, Bruce Lee's name in Japanese is pronounced the same way as the word for the musical genre, Blues Lee. The name Rock Lee got the same concept, as did his son, Metal Lee. Lee also has a similar hairstyle to Bruce Lee and proved that hard work and training can enable a person to perform seemingly impossible tasks. That's what Bruce Lee did for his film audiences around the world.

2. Lee’s Unique Ability Among Konoha 11

Rock Lee has an interesting trait because he does not have the chakra or innate abilities needed to become a ninja. Unlike all of his classmates and teammates, Lee cannot use ninjutsu or genjutsu. Anything that required the "magic" touch required for a special skill wasn't something he could do.

Instead, Lee spent his entire life practicing taijutsu, which is essentially hand-to-hand combat. Lee's muscle memory is so impressive that he can even fight while actually asleep. With his body's alcohol tolerance being so low that a single drop of liquor could make him intoxicated, he was a master of the Drunken Fist technique.

3. Can Use Shinobi Skills Without Ninjutsu

Despite not being able to use ninjutsu, Rock Lee can do some things that would otherwise be impossible. He was strong enough to uproot a tree from the ground. He has also developed the ability to shape and control his limited chakra.

Lee can use the ability to walk on surfaces that ordinary humans cannot. Like the other shinobi in the series, he can walk on the vertical sides of mountains and across the water's surface. According to the information chart about Rock Lee included in the Naruto databook, his blood type is A. That may seem like strange information to some, but it is very relevant to his fans in Japan. People with blood type A are warm, responsible, and patient people. On the other hand, they can also be possessive and jealous. Lee has the same blood type as Hinata and Hanabi Hyuga.

5. Appeared in 6 Films

A fan-favorite character, Rock Lee got his own spin-off series, but he's also appeared in a lot of Naruto films. Of the 11 films produced so far, Rock Lee has appeared in six in six of them.

In Guardians of the Crescent Kingdom and Naruto Shippuden The Movie, Lee becomes the third member of Team 7 in Sasuke's absence. But in Blood Prison and The Last: Naruto The Movie, Lee is more like an extra character. Road To Ninja gives fans a very different take on Lee's, more comedic version of the genjutsu world. 6. Lee and His Team Got Interrupted During the Chuunin Exam

Although Team Guy didn't pass their first Chuunin exam due to the exam itself being interrupted by Orochimaru, they got another chance during the time skip between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. Rock Lee, Tenten, and Neji proved that they were not only good shinobi during the exams, but they were ninja heroes. The trio were repeatedly distracted from their main mission as they kept stopping to help others.

They defended the team from ninjas who used underhanded methods, as well as helping Gaara and Fu when both were attacked due to the tailed beasts sealed within their bodies. The trio spent all of their exam time saving the lives of others. It made Neji get promoted to Jounin while Tenten and Lee were promoted to chuunin.

7. Loved by Sakura in Mugen Tsukuyomi

When the Mugen Tsukuyomi was unleashed, the only one who wasn't caught up in the massive genjutsu was Team 7. Rock Lee was finally hit by the genjutsu that resulted from his deepest desires. Those desires involve proving himself in battle as well as finding love.

In Mugen Tsukuyomi, Lee defeated Naruto and Neji in battle. Neji and Naruto were two members of his generation whose fighting skills and expertise Lee admired the most. After his victory, Lee also received a declaration of love from his longtime crush, Sakura Haruno. It was a beautiful dream world for Lee, but it would never happen to him in the real world.

8. His Zodiac Sign is Sagittarius

Rock Lee's birthday on November 27 was revealed in Naruto's manga profile and databook, letting fans know that he is a Sagittarius.

His astrological sign indicates he is someone who tends to be optimistic and cheerful, but also believes that he is destined for great things. He is also curious, adventurous, and straightforward. All of those Sagittarius personality traits match Lee very well. He also has the same birthday as the famous martial artist and actor Bruce Lee.

9. Trying Hard to Find Wedding Gift Ideas For Naruto and Hinata

When Rock Lee has a lot on his mind, he tends to run to train his mind. That activity was his original plan while trying to figure out what to give Naruto and Hinata for their wedding in Konoha. Unfortunately, running around the village only exhausted Lee.

Lee decides to really put himself in Hinata's shoes to find out what she might need when leaving the shinobi life to raise children. Lee wore high heels and dressed like Hinata's as he toured the city to dive into Hinata's thoughts. In the end, Lee decided on a gift of strength training tools.

10. His Wife Remains Unknown

When the Boruto series revealed that Rock Lee had a son, many fans speculated about who the child's mother would be. After all, no woman has ever truly been in Lee's life other than his crush, Sakura, and teammate, Tenten. Because Sakura is married to Sasuke, fans have shifted their guess to the character Tenten, who hasn't appeared much in the series yet.

Tenten was never confirmed as Metal Lee's mother. In fact, it seems impossible because he hasn't interacted much with his former teammates in Boruto. Tenten only appears in this series to show off her new career, not her home life.
