He entertained a lot of people with his acting and comedic timing, making Ryan Reynolds very popular. Curious about the actor who is synonymous with Deadpool? Let's look at 10 interesting facts about Ryan Reynolds!
1. Before Deadpool, Ryan Reynold Played as a Lucky Creature
Ryan Reynolds plays a lucky creature or some kind of leprechaun in Mississippi Grind. Mississippi Grind is a film that tells the story of a man with a gambling addiction, who meets a man who seems to bring him endless luck. The film was produced independently although Reynolds starred alongside other well-known artists such as Ben Mendelsohn. Many people love this brilliant film packed with social satire and clever symbolism.
2. Reynolds Never Knew About Deadpool Until His Friend Told Him About It
Before being given a suggestion from his friend that Ryan Reynolds was perfect to play the character of Deadpool, Reynolds never knew who the anti-hero was.
After getting advice from a friend, Reynolds went to the nearest comic book store and checked out a pile of Deadpool comics. Reynolds' compatibility with that character makes it hard to imagine if Deadpool is played by another actor.
3. Deadpool Might Never Happen in the Test Footage is Not Leaked
Deadpool isn't the most popular character in the comic book world. When compared to Spider-Man and Superman, Deadpool was very far behind in terms of popularity at first. Because of that, the Deadpool movie seems like a dream. But everything changed when one of the crew members secretly leaked some Deadpool test footage to the public.
The leak made Marvel fans immediately plead with the studio that worked on Deadpool to release the feature film. Fortunately, the fans' wishes were granted. Because of the film, Deadpool is now a popular character like Spider-Man and Superman. Ryan Reynolds who played him also became increasingly famous because of the Deadpool film.
4. Deadpool was Made with Minimum Budget
Due to Deadpool being the less popular comic book character, it's not surprising that the studio was not too confident in working on Deadpool film projects. The studio prepared a very small production budget when compared to the budget for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine.
Deadpool's budget is very small, almost a third of those superhero films. The budget was spent on shooting using the same setting, namely the flyover setting where Deadpool defeated his enemies with only twelve bullets.
Ryan Reynolds' dialogue as Deadpool even pokes fun at the film's budget. The satire came when Deadpool realized he had only seen Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead at X-Men headquarters and commented, "It's as if this studio couldn't afford a better X-Men." However, despite being made with minimal funds, all Deadpool films are quite successful and can satisfy the fans.

After that Reynolds later married Blake Lively. Scarlett Johansson explained in an interview with Vanity Fair that she never had strong feelings for Reynolds. When in 2008 they were young and naive, and not ready to face the trials in married life.
