Suzume no Tojimari Synopsis

Suzume no Tojimari tells about Suzume who is in high school. The girl has a strange dream where she sees a scene from her childhood, she is in an area filled with snow with no one else around. She saw herself as a small child hugging a chair alone.

She wakes up from her sleep and cycles to school where she passes a young man in his early twenties. Suzume looked at him because she found him handsome and she felt like she had seen the man before.

They passed each other and the man stopped her and asked if Suzume saw a door nearby. Of course, Suzume had no idea what he was talking about. Then he said, "Are there any abandoned buildings or areas nearby?" and he said there is an abandoned area around the old onsen nearby. He thanked Suzume and walked away.

Suzume cycles back to school but stops and for some reason is forced to go back to find the boy. Suzume went to the old onsen area, but she didn't find the man there. At a ruined onsen, there was a pool of water on the ground and Suzume saw doors and door frames amidst the ruins of the onsen.

It looked like the door was completely out of place, so Suzume walked over to it and opened the door. On the other side, she saw a night sky filled with stars and grassy hills. She walked past but she ended up on the other side of the doorframe in the onsen. It seemed Suzume could see the other side of the door, but couldn't enter that world. The opening of the door is the essence of the story Suzume no Tojimari.
