Ace’s unfortunate demise has been one of the saddest moments in One Piece to date. It’s mainly because Ace died before Luffy’s eyes, his sworn-brother. Meanwhile, Little Oars Junior’s fate is still a mystery. Is he still alive somewhere? Here are some hidden facts of Ace and Little Oars Jr. from One Piece Vivre Card Databook volume 4!

Ace

Each member of the entire division of the Whitebeard Pirates has a specific task. For instance, Jozu’s division that acts as the spearhead in battles, as well as Vista’s division which consists of swordsmen. However, despite the fact that Ace was the commander of the 2nd division, his men’s main task is still unknown. It’s highly likely that Ace was the commander of a division with the sole task of fighting enemies.

In his past, Ace always asked himself whether he deserved to be born. But then, with the relationships he established with his brothers and his men in the Whitebeard Pirates, along with the recognition he received from around the world, the question was eventually got its answer. Ace got his purpose, to make his father, Shirohige, a Pirate King.

When he would protect someone, Ace never ran away from the battle. Perhaps the trait was inherited from his biological father, the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. The most surprising fact of Ace is that he was a Haoshoku Haki user, although it’s not explained whether he also mastered Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki. 

But the question from all of this is, why would Oda explain it now? And why when Ace was still alive, he was never seen using Haoshoku Haki? 

Little Oars Jr.

Just like Oars, Little Oars Jr. is a member of a clan known as the Old Giants. They are giants with demon-like appearance, they are about four to six times the size of normal giants. Little Oars Jr. is standing at around 38 meters. 

In the Vivre Card, it is said that he has a demonic lineage, but it isn’t clear if it refers just to his appearance or if there’s more behind it. Little Oars had a close relationship with Ace after he gave him a hat he learned to make in Wano by O-Tama at Amigasa village.

Oars Jr. is the captain of the Little Pirates with a bounty of 550,000,000 Bellies. The name of his ship is Little Geraise. Just like Jozu, the status of Little Oars Jr. is still yet to know. As well as his age after the Timeskip.
