Genshin Impact is one of the well-received games in all over the world. Genshin Impact offers so many things that appeal to its fans. In addition to that, the unique characters and stunning visuals in Genshin Impact are one of the reasons why Genshin Impact is so popular.
One of the fan-favorite characters from this game is Xiao. Xiao is a mysterious character with an interesting character design. On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to show you some fun facts about the masked Yaksha, Xiao, from Genshin Impact. Without further ado, let's get into it.
1. A Quiet Individual
Xiao is one of the mysterious characters in Genshin Impact as he tends to be quiet but has a sharp gaze. He prefers silence and solitude rather than having to mingle with others. According to the lore, in order to meet him, one will have to come to the remote Wangshu Inn.
Since he rarely deals with humans, he is often deemed as unfriendly, and his sharp gaze doesn't help him. Other characters are often afraid to socialize with him.
2. He's Quite Close with Morax
When Xiao was young, he’s known as an evil person. Xiao was slaved to a god that held him weak and made him submit to and kill for the god. Morax was the one who saved him from said god. Morax was also the one who gave Xiao his name. That's why Xiao is currently close to Morax.
3. A Member of the Yakshas
Xiao is known as one of the Yaksha members sent by Morax. Their job was to eradicate the demons and evil spirits that plagued Liyue. Thanks to this experience, Xiao became stronger. Xiao came to Teyvat as it was Morax who invited them to exterminate the demons. When Xiao wears his mask, he is ready to transform into a Yaksha.
4. Also Known as Alatus
Before Morax named him Xiao, the real name of the Adeptus was Alatus. Alatus means Golden Wings, or the king who has golden glittering wings. But for Xiao, Alatus refers to his dark past, which he hopes wouldn't happen again. Alatus is an Adeptus called Yaksha and is different from other Adepti in general.
Alatus can not be separated from the title of the god of war. Since the abominable god knew his weaknesses, Alatus became the god's weapon of destruction. Making Alatus one of the most feared figures, both by humans, demons, monsters, and even gods.
5. Venti’s Music Saved Him
Since he has killed many demons and has had too many nightmares, Xiao is constantly haunted by the violence he has committed in the past that made him suffer from karmic burden, which could have made Xiao go crazy or even end up sharing the fate of his Yaksha comrades. However, in Xiao's character cutscene, he can be seen listening to Venti's music.
Thanks to Venti's soothing music, Xiao was able to regain consciousness and not be consumed by Karmic. Surprisingly, Xiao didn't even know Venti. Xiao learned Venti's name only after the Traveler asked him about his relationship with Venti.

In one of his lines, Xiao is a bit annoyed and sick of having to put the dumpling stuffing into the wrapper before it can be eaten.
7. He Really Cares for Liyue
Xiao may be thousands of years old, but he is not very fond of modernization. He tends to stick to the traditions of Liyue. In one of his lines, he claims that Liyue begins to change rapidly, which makes him concerned about the increasingly modern Liyue as he feels the people won't need the help of an Adeptus like him. However, he keeps his concerns and still tries his best to protect the residents of Liyue. Perhaps Xiao is just afraid of being forgotten and abandoned. It is a sign that Xiao deeply cares for Liyue.
8. The Origin of His Vision Remains Unknown
Xiao Genshin Impact can’t seem to remember how he gained his Anemo. It’s somewhat understandable as he has lived for thousands of years. Perhaps he has just forgotten that particular memory. But there’s an interesting theory that says those who possess the Anemo Vision are those who suffer the biggest loss in their lives. The same goes with Kazuha and Venti who lost their best friends, Jean who got separated from her family. So, it’s possible that for Xiao, it’s the memory of losing his Yaksha comrades.
