The new season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba features opening and ending theme songs from Aimer, replacing LiSA. The 2 songs depict the story arc about Tanjiro's mission to destroy the high-level demons that are targeting the nightlife district.
The two anime theme songs for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba are sung by a J-pop singer named Aimer. The fast-paced opening theme is “Zankyosanka,” and the ending theme is a song written and produced by songwriter Yuki Kajiura titled “Asa ga kuru.”
Sadly, many Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba fans prefer LiSA's theme songs over Aimer's. Citing Myjitsu media portal, some fans stated that Aimer's song was too relaxed and not as serious as LiSA's "Gurenge".
There are also fans who say that only LiSA's songs match the spirit of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. This popular anime has featured a number of J-pop hits, including LiSA's "Homura" (co-written by Kajiura and LiSA) and "Gurenge," as well as "Akeboshi".
Aimer himself commented that she was "very happy and honored" to sing both the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba opening and ending songs. The singles "Zankyosanka" and "Asa ga kuru" will be released on January 12, 2022. The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba entertainment district arc begins airing on December 5, 2021.
