Zynga's legendary game, FarmVille, is about to get shut down after 11 years. Zynga stops its support for FarmVille after companies like Adobe, Facebook, and Google stopped to support Flash Player (the program to run flash games like FarmVille on the internet).
In an official support website, Zynga wrote, "Following an incredible 11 years since its initial launch back in 2009, we are officially announcing the closure of the original FarmVille game on Facebook."
They also stated the reason on their website that the closure is the impact of Adobe’s discontinuation from updating the Flash Player for all web browsers, including Facebook on December 31, 2020.
"As previously stated, Adobe will stop distributing and updating Flash Player for all web browsers, and Facebook will stop supporting Flash games on the platform completely after December 31st, 2020. FarmVille will therefore be directly affected as a result of this," Zynga wrote in the announcement.
You can still play FarmVille, but all in-app purchases will be available up until November 17. So, if you want to enjoy your last time playing the game, you can start today.
