Capcom has announced a new Resident Evil CGI animated film. The film is titled Resident Evil: Death Island. This film is a sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta which was released in 2017. Resident Evil: Death island is planned to be released this summer.

Citing IGN, Resident Evil: Death Island tells of D.S.O agent Leon S. Kennedy who is assigned to save a researcher named Dr. Antonio Taylor who was kidnapped by unknown parties. Meanwhile, Chris Redfield and the B.S.S.A organization investigate a zombie outbreak that occurred in San Francisco. It seems that Leon and Chris will meet each other in this film because they have the same source of problems.
