As you probably know, the popular Spanish Netflix series, Money Heist, will be getting a remake version titled Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area, which is slated for a release on 24 June 2022. Yoo Ji Tae will play Professor, the mastermind behind the heist. He’s a critically-acclaimed actor who began his career in 1998. 1. The Swindlers  

Before taking the role of the heist mastermind, Ji Tae had previously played the role of a prosecutor named Hee Soo, who helps a group of swindlers to catch a con man, who’s also the target of Hwang Ji Sung (Hyun Bin). To help him carry out the mission, Ji Sung recruits other con artists: Suk-Dong (Bae Sung-Woo), Choon-Ja (Nana), and Chief Kim (An Se-Ha).

2. Mad Dog

The K-drama which premiered on Netflix follows Choi Kang Woo (Yoo Ji Tae), a former police officer and leader of the Taeyang Insurance investigation team. He decides to form his own investigation team, in order to find out the truth about the plane crash that took the life of his wife and son.

3. Healer

In this series, Yoo Ji Tae acts alongside Ji Chang Wook, who plays Seo Jung-Hoo, a secret messenger under the codename ‘Healer’. Ji Tae plays a news anchor named Kim Moon Ho, who uses Jung Hoo's service to get a DNA sample from Chae Young Shin (Park Min Young).

Released in 2019, Money stars Ryu Jun Yeol, who plays Jo Il-Hyun, the son of a raspberry farmer who comes from a humble background but dreams of becoming a stockbroker to get rich. He crosses paths with a man called Number Ticket (Yoo Ji Tae), who secretly controls and masterminds the stock market scam.

5. The Good Wife

This Korean drama tells the story of a woman, Kim Hye Kyung, whose husband is a successful prosecutor named Lee Tae Joon (Yoo Ji Tae). Lee Tae Joon gets arrested for corruption and a scandal. With her husband in prison, Kim Hye Kyung has to step up and support her family by becoming an attorney at the Seoul Prosecutor's Office.

6. When My Love Blooms

This romantic drama, featuring Yoo Ji Tae and Lee Bo Young, can make your day. It tells the romance between Han Jae Hyun and Yoon Ji Soo, who were each other's first love back in their college days. They get reunited in their forties after years of being separated. This drama is as romantic as it is poignant, mainly because Han Jae Hyun and Yoon Ji Soo have to face reality despite their feelings for each other.

7. SPLIT

Yoo Ji Tae plays Chul Jong, a once-promising bowler who had to isolate himself from the outside world due to an incident. He then works as an employee at a public bowling alley. There, he meets Young Hoon, an autistic teenager who's unbelievably talented in bowling. He then takes Young Hoon under his wings to play together and trains him.

8. Ditto

This movie helped propel Yoo Ji Tae's popularity. It tells the story of love and friendship about a man and a woman from different time periods, who begin talking to each other via their radios. A huge hit upon its release, Ditto managed to touch the hearts of many people with the sweet and refreshing love story. That's why this movie is getting a remake version.

9. Oldboy

The legendary Korean movie tells the story of Oh Dae Su, who gets kidnapped by a group of unknown people, who then lock him up in a mysterious room. During his imprisonment, he learns from the TV that he becomes a fugitive and is accused of murdering his wife. Yoo Ji Tae plays the main antagonist, Lee Woo-Jin, in this film.

10. Midnight FM

Midnight FM is a thriller movie and is very fun to watch if you are a fan of the genre. Yoo Ji Tae plays Han Dong Su, a psychopath who takes the younger brother, nephew, and daughter of a radio host, Go Sun Young, hostage. Seeing her family being held captive, Sun Young panics and follows Dong Su's game in hope of her family being released.
