The good news that Haikyuu anime fans have been waiting for has finally been answered. The anime film Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle has been confirmed to be shown in Indonesian cinemas. This was first announced by CBI Pictures as the distributor of the film in Indonesia. In a post on the official X/Twitter page, they wrote,

“An unrepeatable match between all-time rivals: Karasuno vs Nekoma!” wrote the account.

“HAIKYU!! THE DUMPSTER BATTLE is in cinemas from May 29. Save the date!”, CBI Pictures confirmed the film's screening date via their social media accounts.

Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle will start showing in Indonesian cinemas CGV Cinemas starting May 29. This film will be screened regularly and 4DX. Previously, this film had also announced screening in several other countries, such as Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and now Indonesia also received good news regarding the film's screening.

This film premiered in Japan on February 16, and as of April, sales had reached 6 million tickets. This May, Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle in Japan has sold a total of over 7 million Tickets generating over 10 Billion Yen as of last May 5. This film even managed to prove its popularity because it sold more than 1.5 million tickets in just three days since its broadcast in Japan.

The TV anime series of Haikyuu!! aired for four seasons from 2014 to 2020, with this film depicting the fateful battle between Karasuno and Nekoma. Anime Haikyuu!! is an adaptation of the manga by Haruichi Furudate in 2011, and ended the series in July 2020. Shueisha published the 45th and final volume of the manga in November 2020. Meanwhile, the television anime adaptation was first produced by Production IG and premiered in April 2014.
