During the Grand Final of Final Kombat tournament live stream event on Monday (9/3) midnight, Netherrealm Studios announced various exciting news, and one of them is the first Red Band trailer of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge animated movie.

Hence the title, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, will tell about the origins of one of the iconic characters from Mortal Kombat video game series, Hanzo Hasashi, or better known as Scorpion. In the trailer, as seen in the beginning, Scorpion is not a bloodthirsty fighter, but everything changes after Lin Kuei and Sub Zero kill his clan, Shirai Ryu.

Next, you can see the adventure of Scorpion, who seeks revenge in the name of his family, as told in the first Mortal Kombat game. As known among Mortal Kombat diehard fans, Scorpion will also be involved in the middle of Shao Khan’s attempt to conquer Earthrealm with other characters from the said video game.

The animated movie announced directly by the creator of the game itself, Ed Boon, and scheduled to release in an R rating. The R rating is given due to blood and gore, as seen in the video game series.

Boon announced if Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge later will come beforehand in a few paid streaming services on April 12. The Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD version will get to the store on April 28, 2020.
