Shortly after Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) announced the involvements of Iko Uwais and Al Ghazali in the short film project “Winter Clash”, MLBB fans have been excited to watch their performance in this short film by Timo Tjahjanto (Timobros), a well-known Indonesian director who have directed numerous top-tier movies in Indonesia.

Today, MLBB finally released “Winter Clash” on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia YouTube channel. This 5-minute short film features the exciting battle between two iconic MLBB heroes, Chou and Gusion, showing off their fighting skills. The battle lasted for a while until Angela, another MLBB hero, interrupts.

In this short film, Timo Tjahjanto (Timobros) worked alongside Iko Uwais and Al Ghazali who play the iconic heroes Chou and Gusion. Both actors have starred in many popular movies in Indonesia and were convincing in their performance portraying Chou and Gusion.

“Collaborating with MLBB was really fun. From a production standpoint, it’s the best advertisement I’ve ever done,” said Timo Tjahjanto, director of the MLBB short, Winter Clash. “For the concept of the short film itself, I’d like to portray what players feel when playing the game and bring it to live in this short film, and I hope that every MLBB player in Indonesia will feel the same way”, he continued.

“The shooting process for MLBB Winter Clash is a memorable experience”, said Iko Uwais, who plays Chou. “It’s my first time playing as a game character and I was actually surprised at the size of the ecosystem of this game as well as the enthusiasm shown by MLBB fans. I feel honored to have been cast to play Chou. I hope this (short) film can entertain all Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players.”

“Gusion is one of my favorite heroes in MLBB, so, obviously, I’m really proud to be able to play as this character,” said Al Ghazali, who plays Gusion. “I’m also grateful since there were so many experiences that I have learned from this project from Mas Timo and Bang Iko. As an MLBB loyal player, I believe that MLBB will make many breakthroughs soon. I’ll continue to play MLBB for sure.”

This sci-fi themed short film combines various elements from MLBB as part of the Winter Gala 2020 event.

“Winter Clash is the first short film that combines real-life action with Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) by MLBB. We are very pleased with the result and hope that MLBB fans will enjoy this,“ said the Brand Director of Moonton Indonesia, Aswin Atonie. “Being able to work alongside Timo Tjahjanto, Iko Uwais and Al Ghazali is an honor for us, and Timo has been so successful in combining the elements from MLBB into this short so that we can feel the same emotion we get from playing MLBB.”

Winter Clash Fun Match

Aside from releasing the “Winter Clash” short, there’s a fun event that you should take part in: the Winter Clash Fun Match, on December 20 at 14:30 WIT. In this Fun Match, Team Iko Uwais will go up against Team Al Ghazali, the event also features renowned MLBB players, like RRQ Lemon, AE Udil, AURA Qeira, Geek Schwan, and many more.
