The Season of Alola has ended, and a new event, Lush Jungle, begins with the arrival of the new Pokemon, Fomantis, in Pokemon GO. Fomantis is an adorable Grass-type Pokemon that can be evolved into Lurantis by spending 50 Candy. You need to evolve this Pokemon during the day as Fomantis requires sunlight to photosynthesize.

Although Lurantis is a Grass-type Pokemon, it bears some resemblances with Bug-type Pokemon. This is actually some sort of an adaptation that will throw predators off, as well as self-protection for the Pokemon. Lurantis looks rather elegant with its predominantly pink shades and the character design that makes it looks as if it’s wearing a fashionable outfit. Lurantis has a decent Moveset for PvP battles: Fury Cutter (Fast Move) and a combination of Leaf Blade & Superpower (Charge Move).

This event also features the debut of Shiny Cottonee. Shiny Cottonee is orange in color, and its evolution, Shiny Whimsicott, sports bolder brown shades. On Saturday & Sunday (26-27 March 2022), Cottonee will spawn more often in parks. Parks will be indicated with a dark green color on maps. Be sure to get the best out of this event if you want to catch Shiny Cottonee.

There will also be a Timed Research that focuses on catching Grass-type Pokemon during the Lush Jungle event. You will be rewarded with Berries, Pokeballs, Grass-type Pokemon (including Fomantis), and a Mossy Lure Module. Trainers will also see the Special Research "An Akala Adventure" to learn the Legendary Tapu Lele. Complete the tasks to get various rewards. You can also complete Research Tasks from the Pokestop to get several Pokemon
